Do guns on auto fire against Allies or are they recognized as so, please advice Thanks.

Allied private ships will be fired upon, but not damaged. It is against the rules to use this intentionally. Factioned allied ships are not fired upon.

Where your question seems to be just about turrets and firing it is important to note that while they may not damage the allies private ship the splash damage may very well kill the ally flying it. You also have manual fire weapons which will damage the ship and ally alike as friendly fire is on.

I would rather risk over answering you than have you die due to an omission.
