## Overview

HWS features a powerful and active player-driven **economy** , enhanced by the **Elemental Bank (EB)**—a system that allows you to securely store your credits across seasons, independent of the game.

### Why Credits Matter

Credits can be used to unlock or upgrade a variety of valuable HWS features:

- **Orbital Cargo Drone (OCD)**
- **HWS DNA** from EGS
- **NoGuilty** status
- **EGS Recycle Levels**
- **Orbital Autominer Upgrades**
- **HWS Garage Ships**
- … and more

The main EB branch is found in **Elemental Capital City (ECC)**, but additional branches can be found across the universe.

## EB Command Access

Use the following to explore EB functionality:

- Visit [https://cmd.hws.global](https://cmd.hws.global)
- In-game: `PDA > Guide > HWS Commands`
- Or simply type `eb:?`

> ❗ Make sure you are inside a **Bank Zone** for full access if you don’t have the required EB level.

## Sending Credits to Other Players

Credits can be transferred **instantly** to other **online players** using either:

- The **exact (case-sensitive)** player name
- Their **bank account number** (use `eb:info` to find it)

### Examples:

- `eb:send:12345:4500` → Sends 4,500 credits to account 12345
- `eb:send:StarCitizen:4500` → Sends 4,500 credits to “StarCitizen”
- ⚠ `eb:send:starcitizen:4500` → ❌ Invalid due to incorrect casing

> 💡 Use **HWS Connect** for easier name lookup and transaction control.

## Faction Elemental Bank (FEB)

HWS also supports seasonal **Faction Banks** , allowing credits to be pooled and used collectively.

- **Credits in FEB are wiped after each full wipe.**
- **Roles & Permissions** :
  - **Owner/Admin** : Deposit & Withdraw
  - **Member** : Deposit only

Use `eb:?` for a full list of FEB commands.

## EB Upgrades & Fees

> 💡 All fees and mechanics apply **outside of Bank/Market Zones** unless stated otherwise.

> 🛒 **Marketplace note:** The “Market fee” column of the sheet is the **buy** fee outside a Marketplace Zone (10% at EB Level 1 down to 1% at EB Level 10). Since September 2026 there is also a **sell fee** : 3% inside a Marketplace Zone, 10% + 1 HWS DNA per item outside. **Dealer Origin** pays a single flat sell fee that scales with the EB Level (5% at Level 1 → 0% at Level 10). Details: [HWS Marketplace](https://forum.empyrion-homeworld.net/t/hws-marketplace/4376).

## Credit Retention & Reset

- **Your EB upgrade level resets after every season!**
- **Keep Credit Packages** can extend retained credits beyond seasonal limits
- Retention **stacks** with your current EB level and one permanent support package

### Example:

- EB Level 5 (Keep 50m)
- Permanent Keep Credit Package: 100m
- One-Time Seasonal Package: 400m
→ **You keep 550m credits after a full wipe.**

## Elemental Bank Zones

Many EB features require that you’re inside an **EB Zone** —an invisible 50x50x50 area centered on a base or designated structure.

### Main Zone Location

- **Elemental Galactic Services HQ** , Homeworld PvE \> ECC Planet

### Create Your Own EB Zone

Buy a **Support Package** to create your own EB Zone at a base structure.

Command:

```auto
do:ebz:id
```

_(Use Structure ID from HWS Connect \> Structure Commander or the console command `di`)_

**Important Notes:**

- Removing the base removes the zone
- Unlimited EB Zones can be bought and stored
- EB Zones are PvE-only
- EB Zones are public (no private/faction-only restrictions)
- Cannot overlap with OCD Zones

## Interest System

To earn interest, players must visit an EB Zone daily or meet the following conditions:

- **EB Level 5+** : Use `eb:interest` command (no zone visit required)
- **Eligible for Auto-Collection** :
  - [Patreon Master](https://www.patreon.com/hws)
  - [Master Origin Support Package](https://empyrion-homeworld.net/hws-connect.html#page-support-us)
  - [Dealer Origin](https://forum.empyrion-homeworld.net/t/dealer-origin/5616)

### Mechanics:

- Interest delivered via “cash drone” message confirmation
- Processed daily at **9 AM server time** (`cb:time`)

## Selling Structures for Credits

Convert structures into EB credits instantly using:

```auto
ts:sellcredits:id
```

### Notes:

- Structures are instantly destroyed after sale
- **PvE** :
  - Must be in a Market Zone **unless** you’re:
    - A **Dealer Origin** member
    - A **Master Origin** supporter
    - A **Master Patron**

- **PvP** :
  - Must be in a Market Zone
  - No players within ~2000m

- Player must be **near the structure**
- Credit value is based on [HWS Connect Marketplace API Data](https://forum.empyrion-homeworld.net/t/hws-marketplace/4376#p-24365-rocket-hws-connect-marketplace-smart-price-system-20-12) and only as fallback on structure block/device count
- Credit payout percentage is based on your **EB Level**
- Selling costs **HWS DNA** (see upgrade sheet)
