Dear HWS Community @everyone
6th August is around the corner, which means a few information for you:

  1. I activated global EGS Recycle and OCD usage on HWS RE - as always one week before and after a full wipe, you get this goodie from me for free.

  2. Not many know but the “HWS+” servers are the backbone of HWS what you see and play today. It wasn’t called HWS+ back in the day and we had 4+ years of great adventures together. There are still veterans around from 2016 and later which I really appreciate and respect - more than I can express. The goal with the merge is not to end this era but to enhance a new one - even if it will be a steep journey - later more about that.

  3. That is why I really want to compensate as much of your time and love as technically possible. What will merge from HWS+ and what not (this is not fully implemented yet, feel free to give feedback about it - I can adjust values still):

  • OCD level => if your HWS+ OCD level is higher than on RE, your RE OCD level is raised to that. If RE is already equal or higher, your level stays as on RE
  • Permanent OCD slots => your HWS+ permanent OCD slots are added on top of your RE permanent slots
  • Bank credits, HWS DNA and HWS Ingots => a percentage of your HWS+ balances is added on HWS RE, based on your lifetime playtime on HWS+ (10000+ hours = 100%, 9000+ hours = 90% … 1000+ = 10% and below 1%)
  • OCD content compensation =>
    • each occupied OCD slot gives you 1 HWS Ingot on HWS RE. (this should really show how much I appreciate you guys).
    • each item per OCD slot gives you 1 bank credit on HWS RE. (there is no good overall or fancy marketprice calculation system without spending some weeks on hardcore crazy formulas and still being off)
  • OAM, structures and the rest can’t be transferred and I hope the above should give you a fair compensation, at least as technically possible.

Again, this is the plan and prepared code wise but we all know how database migration in production can go… a new but unique experience we have to tackle together one time.
Last but not least, even if I don’t get it in time, I want to spent some dedicated time and love in a HWS Veteran skin I want to give certain players I respect and honor throughout the years. There were ups and downs and I take all the blame for misery but you guys deserve it and I hope it will turn out nice, you can proudly show others ingame. This is the only concrete promise I want to give.

Regarding the full wipe date itself - apart from the new adventure of merging 10 year old databases together and no time can be predicted for that how it will go, I am honest with you that I am still in a not so good state in my life.
It would be best to make a longer vacation somewhere but I decided to change plans and do the minimum but solid merge of HWS+ into HWS RE and then, as always planned, deliver you step by step new content per season, so you can be excited for new seasons and not get bothered by yet another boring wipe. This is what we had in the past and was great but somehow got lost a bit.
With only 2 servers and one scenario to concentrate on, I am really looking forward to that.

I hope this makes sense to you. The most important point I want to get across is thank you for being with me - be it new people or the veterans for a decade. I deeply appreciate you all and look forward to keep providing you your Home World Server - HWS.
