=> Are shields actually implemented in game? I attempted to attack a point of interest, my CV with a full shield now has a huge hole in it from 1 missle. My fighter went in next with planet side weapons, 1 missle blew it in half, shield still at 100% however. I unloaded 20+ guided missles into the launcher attacking me but it didnt take any damage. When I was killed it kept spawning me inside the POI’s range so I died rapidly over and over before I was even loaded. Eventually I spawned outside its area and got my gear back. Do shields do anything? both ships still show full shields but massive structural damage now.
I dont record gameplay unfortunatly. I was on the Freelancer Origin planet investigating a prison ship. Im new to the game so didnt know what it was going to do so I flew over it in my CV fully shielded and weapons armed. A missle flew out of the POI and blew a hole in the front of my CV before I could pull up out of its range. I retreated 500m, got in a SV armed with homing rockets and repeated the attempt, the POI attacked again and blew the left side of the SV off before I could escape. Again the shield was at 100% when I landed to see the damage. Do they work in atmospheres? I expected the shield to absorb a hit or 2 before the ship exploded.
sadly not much can be done without the ability to reproduce or witness this. videos are the most helpful in resolving issues. this game has many “features” that can make life interesting to say the least. also it is best to fill out the ticket template completely in the future. having this crucial information is key in resolving issues much faster.
