I have seen several contributors on the official Eleon forum that have server banner images in the footer of their posts.
If there was an official HWS version “I play on the biggest, free, public empyrion server of them all” I would use it and I imagine other forum contributors from the HWS community would too.
why dont you use the vote site gif?

OK I have done as you suggested 
I think it could be perhaps optimised better in terms of size and resolution for the specifics of the forum, but it is official and a good start.
Hopefully other community members can likewise post?
