which under normal circumstances would take a good 10 seconds of constant firing to get through a very minimum of 3 layers of steel, but for you 10 seconds under fire from 20 guns is a valid tactic, explain.

It seem simple chronology is beyond you
You pop your ship up for the smallest amount of time possible, to just get off a volley of rockets, you dip back down asap as if you didn’t everything would be tracked on you and guns would start firing. You do this for 20 mins or so, Pop up, fire once, back down. I know this is a terribly complicated tactic that could confuse even the best of players, but i got it, just.
This is all you do, pop your head up, fire rockets once, back down. Are we good ? you with me so far ? This stops. Instead, you come over at full speed and only fire Gats/Lazers and kill me within 1 second of you being in range. 3 times in 5 mins.

I wanted to chime in here. First off I am on the opposite side of the people who shot you so I am not one of their allies coming to their defense.
Gats have always been a problem and will continue to be a problem. They are not the only weapon that lag shoots but are the ones that do it most frequently. When we got the capability to modify the config myself, others in the NA community and several of the Russians in the EU server took several weeks to test and modify the config.
One of the changes we made was to gatlings. We reduced the fire rate, spread out the fire, and reduced the range A LOT. This made it so that if someone wanted to Gat you there would be less of a chance to lag shot and would cause them a lot of damage to their craft if you retreated to your allies or towers when they rushed.
Sure this didn’t solve the issue but its steps we as a server community took to try and stop the issue. There isn’t anything we can do but push for an outright ban of Gatlings. This was talked about but its not feasible to do with coding right now and would be too hard for RexXxus to police and waste too much of his valuable time. So we all agree we shouldn’t…
Now as a builder like was said before there are ways to mitigate the lag shoots. Glass windows around your cockpit or shutters are a good way. Leaving a row of empty space inbetween two rows of armor is another good way. Putting devices around where your going to be getting shot from is another as the shot will hit those before traveling further and once blown out create that space of missing blocks. Hopefully you can add some of these techniques to your ships which will help you out.
As well as adapt your flying. When you see someone rush then you should retreat or retreat back to friendlies so they get punished for doing it. Having a extra cockpit on you and build your ships so you can easily slap extra cockpits down. This will allow you to get back into the fight in 15 seconds or so.
I hope my explanation helped and my suggestions will help in future combat.
All that being said the pilots who shot you down did nothing wrong under the current ruleset. We also don’t have a “honor” system in place banning gatlings or other guns that lag shoot either as too many won’t adhere to that and we get too many new players who wouldn’t know about that.
edit - you can also switch to your gats when they charge. Also on building another thing is move where your cockpit is if its in an obvious location on your craft.

Agree with all you’ve said.
My only issue with this whole, silly post: I think DevilFrog was in a different fight! He made totally false assumptions and assertions about us:
- We were using gats (when no PvP pilot would make use of SV gats on HWS… Ever…)
- We made a suicide run with his base at his back
- His belief we were doing any more than aiming rockets, pulses and rails at the ‘center mass’ of his ship.
We fight with honour, we also fight will a great deal of experience AND a willingness to lose as little as possible whilst doing maximum damage, but never at the cost of glitching/exploiting.
His sporadic use of the word “cheat” is also pretty damn offensive, all of the above considered.
He had a chance here to come to us, say “you fought well, how do I go about learning to fight like this?” and we’d have obliged him with all the info we have. Instead, he comes at us with “cheat” and a complete unwillingness to back down and apologise, even in the face of all that’s been said.
I despair for his future in any online game, to be honest.
But thank you for bringing some common sense to what is, frankly, a ridiculous thread.

Oh oh, stop stop using Gatlings as your excuse… I will happily admit in the confusion it could quite easily have been Lasers. So gats were the FOTM ( flavor of the months for MMO fans) last patch…oh sorry, my bad its lazers this patch isnt it. If you need explaininig how FOTM works, i will glady explain. People in every online game ever seek out the exploits, the gliches, the coding that gives them the advantage. What did you say at the start " lazers go through armor" - indeed they do - its called a Lag Shot.
You specifically did what you did to cause a lag shot. Anything your sycophantic echo chamber says will not change this.

Am I the only one that thinks unsubstantiated accusations or clearly false cheating reports should be punished? It’s ok to ask for something to be investigated but at a point where the accusation is based on nothing, was refuted by the admins and still is being repeated it should be sanctioned.
