Even a slight ripple can change the world … but if you’re not #DrWho and are playing #Empyrion Galactic Survival in update 1.7, it may be a result of the optics and effects upgrade for water!
Will be interesting to see if there’s any performance hit with this effect and if players have the ability to switch on and off depending on their pc setup.
Its going to make me wont the ability to throw/skim a stone in to the water to make the ripple effect.
It looks for sure beautiful.
But in terms of digital graphics, everything needs to be caclulated.
And the reflection of the water means, that the polygons etc. of mountains etc. has to be rendered twice for example.
Or let me simply say: no water in PvP heh.
