first of all I want to thank all of you for another successful season start! <:hwsstar:535932728886034439> It’s always great to see so many players enjoying their time!
I am currently in the process of cleaning up and improving whatever is urgently missing/broken. Then I will concentrate on integrating and preparing Part 2 of a fully ingame integration of HWS+ into HWS RE.

But there is one thing I want to invite you for:

40 000 Playhours in Empyrion | A HV Deathmatch Tournament

“Everyone needs a hobby” is my slogan for crazy people who are doing crazy things. So here we are :nerd_face:

I made a nostalgic video for my last 30 000 playhours (2023) which shows many great moments from the community, from you from the last 10+ years:

So, celebrating my 40k playhours in Empyrion (which I will hit next week) I am hosting a HV Deathmatch Event on 20th-21th August - this Thursday to Friday (I start at the evening on HWSâș RE EU and then host it also on HWSâș RE NA | so technically everyone could participate twice). We start <t:1787248800:F> (this is converted to your local time)

The Rules and Motivation :trophy:

  • You build your own HV and fight against other built HVs!
  • This requires some rules of course:
    • Max. Class Size 1 / Complexity 1
    • The dimensions should not exceed 17 meters in any direction (34 blocks)
    • It must have legal obtainable weapons/blocks as if you would gather/spawn it in a Survival Game (so no HWS Garage Alien Technology etc.)
    • You send me your HV blueprint via PM and I will check it until 20th August 18:00 server time. Every submitted blueprint after that time is rejected!
    • We play in a dedicated Arena - Observers are welcome and get free Popcorn and Vodka
    • Depending how many players participate we have to set a max. time for every fight. Example max. 15 minutes. After that time I will check at a Station Service nearby how much damage was done / how much the repair would cost, the Winner is who took less damage
    • I will stream the whole tournament
    • K.O. Tournament Knockout Tree => We do the initial pairing random and then you climb up until the finals
    • :1st_place_medal: 1st Place: 1x Garage Ship of your Choice + 500 HWS Ingots + 1000 HWS DNA + 1 month free HWS Master Patron Membership
    • :2nd_place_medal: 2nd Place: 1x Garage Ship of your Choice + 250 HWS Ingots + 500 HWS DNA
    • :3rd_place_medal: 3rd Place: 1 Garage Ship of your Choice + 100 HWS Ingots + 100 HWS DNA
    • :sports_medal: Every participant: 1 Garage Ship of your Choice
    • You can participate on EU and NA, but only win the medals once (the next eligible player in the ladder would get the price then)

Just a quick reminder about the HV K.O. Deathmatch Tournament today!
I got 25 submissions so far, which is awesome!! <a:meow_party:1256347858332815431>

Quick FAQ:
- If you want to join, submit your HV blueprint until 18:00 server time today! So within the next 5 hours and 20 minutes!

  • What I forgot: please send me another message if you want to participate on EU, NA or both servers! Also note, that I noted down your Discord name in the blueprint. If your ingame name is different, let me know!
  • Before the event starts, the Stargate in the Event Zone, in EGS HQ (ECC / Homeworld System) will bring you to the Event planet
  • Since it is a PvP playfield and to avoid griefing, you have to walk naked through the Stargate (you can leave your items in your ship nearby or the Personal Container in EGS HQ). So no hand weapons should interrupt our event - you get everything there (Food, etc.)
  • There you can observe the Event in the Arena until I call your name and you go to your position where I spawn your submitted HV (already filled with ammo, fuel, pentaxid)
  • Since there are quite a lot of participants we have to introduce time limits as I said before to get this event done in a reasonable amount of time. Next time we can maybe have multiple fights at the same time but for the first time, I want to keep it in one Arena
  • If you lose, you can observe or leave the event. The winner waits for his next bracket pairing
  • I will stream it in Discord (Event Voice Channel), maybe Twitch as well, so you can follow that way too and we can coordinate it faster

Overall just have fun and let’s see if the game can handle it :slightly_smiling_face:

The Event is starting in 35 minutes on EU - after we are done, we move on to NA. After the 1:00 server restart maybe.

Feel free to join the Event Voice Channel or watch it live on Twitch - I’m currently streaming - not the best Webcam but hey :waving_hand:

Good Morning HWS Community @everyone
the last announcement for th Event:
The Tournament on EU is over and it was super successful! Thank you everyone for all the positive feedback :slightly_smiling_face:
We learned from it as well and will make it even better for the NA and future Events!

The event on NA is starting after the Server Restart, in 33 minutes.
If you haven’t already, please let me know that you want to participate. Some players were missing on EU unfortunately.
I will wait a bit before starting the event to make sure everyone who wants to play, is in the Event Voice channel or wrote me a PM.
I will post the pairing in the <#1538608799328247918> channel after the server restart and if you do not see yourself there, please let me know!

Next time, if you want, we go with a HV Deathmatch Race on a planet - either be first reaching the goal or kill everyone else so you don’t need to :slightly_smiling_face:
