AutoMiners Dissapered... Exploit,bug illegal use

This morning when i went to look for our Ore, all autominers were gone even tho we build them in cages. And the system is in PVE.
And the Intruder Log comes here. So Admins pls perma ban those exploit,bug buggers.

Oh btw, i think i know how they do it. By using area effect weapons it seems that the effect goes inside anyway.
Because the cages havent got a dent. So start swinging the Perma-BAN Hammer . For as u can see they are repetingly using it.

They were set to faction. they have doors and they were closed. And they are empty now.

You shouldn’t use doors. They are basically broken in that they don’t prevent anyone from entering.

This basicly puts traders to a halt, we mine the ore for producing stuff so we can trade.

In what way are the doors broken ? So u can open anyones door and enter ?

Well, that’s alpha, not everything works as expected. Why aren’t you that surprised by the fact that you can disassemble other’s autominers in the first place?
If you think that such risks “put you to a halt”, than you must be missing something. Because I’ve lost 30+ autominers but still managed to make a fortune using them. And that’s after accounting for major losses due to unexpected Mars wipe.
So the advice is as above, don’t use doors to prevent entering your bases. Walls are much harder to pass through.

Yep. There’s a skeleton key item which lets you pass through doors regardless of ownership.

i was suprised by the autominer “feature” and we circumvented that, or we hoped we did by caging them instead.
Didnt know that the doors ( they been ther for so loong ) was made of ricepaper. And the locks on them if u can call them locks are if u right nothing other than a pice of ductape.

so, after a bit more work we found out more exactly what bases are missing miners.
and the suspects? returns to the scene of their hineous crimes.

And to come to think of it i guess we now know how they do it. Expecting a fix for it for that bug has been around for some time now. By the rules no1 they should get a perma ban atleast…for exploiting a known bug, Rule No 2.Fair Play,stealing from other players

Not that I suport griefing, but:
a) Intruder logs are not THAT reliable source of info.
b) Permaban for stealing a couple autominer devices? Are you kidding?

Intruder logas are a part , and Admins got their logs with all device id´s so they can use those.
Game is using device id´s on everthing that u can interact with. so they would be able to take a look. And the coordinates were and when cause logs tend to have a time stamp.

Permaban for exploiting a known bug and using it for personal gain by stealing. it´s still against the rules no matter what . We all agreed to the rules when we started playing.
If they dont start putting their feets down it soon will escalate and the rules is more or less some text none will pay attention to.

As far as I know, there’s no better logs than “intruder log” to track such actions. That’s why it is required to capture video or at least make screenshots of such actions.
“Against the rules” does not equal permaban, does it?

By using logs u can crossreference the timeline, by the device id´s u can crossref it againts the timeline and so on.
And the game is Alpha stage so there should be some debug logs also to poke around in.
If everyone starts nesting around theri in game property the game would be quite stale in no time.

So what u are implying is that the rules can be broken, by using exploits and bugs for personal gain by stealing, and all you will get is ?

It doesn’t seem that you understand what I’m writing, but I’ll try one last time to be as clear as I can.

  1. Breaking into closed bases and stealing other’s stuff on PvE is bad.
  2. The evidence against the specific characters is insufficient.
  3. It is not up to you or me to decide upon the necessity or severify of punishment.
  4. Permnent ban seems to me far from reasonable for such actions even if proven beyond reasonable doubt.

I choose to play on PvE side for a reason. Not to PvP ! So when they using exploits and bugs to steal for personal gains i just should sit down and start singin cumbaya and give out cupcakes to the offenders.

And u know that by ? (Some players dont think its fun to sit and guard their stuff in PvE to be a papparazzi.) Only the Admins of the servers knows what they have for sure.

Going back historical theres been permabans for exploiting bugs. Whats the difference from exploiting a bug then and now?

If they are allowed to continue and take over then the server will die. I´m guessing these aren´t their first trip to exploiting the bug.

I would also like to point out after checking our intruder logs your attacks started way before the posted times you havr put forward on the same planet not saying that anyone frome art has attacked you at all but if your saying permanent ban then you deserve one clearly not art members because you attacked way before you claimed they did
