What happened?
=> I moved us to a new base location, which i made the top of a concrete pillar (was going for a chandelier turret type effect). After i placed all interior strcutures and had the constructor making more blocks for the walls, the entire thing toppled over and we lost everthing in the containers.

Sounds like you weren’t paying attention to structural integrity and had a collapse because of it.
Always use the “N” menu when building a base on planets and moons.
If this is what happened then it’s an intended game mechanic and the admins aren’t likely to restore (but they may be feeling extra generous).
thats structural integrity for ya, the integrity maybe reached a point it could not stand any more or its support column was being attacked by something.
Either way when the limit is reached on integrity, adding a block will destroy the base.
I used to use drill on fill to drag land up into the sky, build a base on it then remove the land or wait for a terrain reset, add no blocks after though because it will break.
Ahh understood!! Thanks for the responses! I’d forgotten about the N menu. Been a long time since I’ve played. It was fun figuring out the mass and CPU mechanics LMAO (the T2 CPU blocks gave me the impression that i could only have 1 of each type)… It did ruin the game for me when we were able to load entire planets onto a single ship with 30 thrusters and a single generator.
