My apologies for the lights going on. From my side, I could not see that they were on for the 40 seconds that I was connected to the server… It took me 40 minutes to get back into the game, and by then the ship was dead.
As a precaution, We should remove the lights from the blueprints to prevent someone from accidently pressing the T while playing.
Honestly lights are not a huge no no, as long as you dont have insane amounts of them (>8 or so for an hv that size) There is no rule against using them, only using them to harmful effect on others. That is largely a judgement call, based on context. But the original claim here was that you were flashing them (which btw is no more harmful than them just being on the whole time). I think once enough people saw the raw footage it was seen that it was in fact a ranged render issue, not a pilot flickering lights.
Just trying to get hold of the rest of TCH. We can probably field as many as we need if anyone else wants to join? We don’t need pre-organised teams, solo players can join too

I don’t think 4V4 will produce the type of lag we experienced on Homeworld tbh. Maybe not even 6V6. UMC would be willing to bring some people over to add more people so you can benchmark. Does it have to be EU?

No, which server is not important.
We can increase all time but start 4v4, 6v6 and so on. Benchmarking will affect also the players a bit so not hardcore from the beginning.
Best if we start such planet fights and then expand.
It’s like a test guys but a serious test. We don’t restore stuff here, you need to fight real, no easy peasy. Just as good as possible for benchmarking.
Just say when and where, I’ll strap 50 lights to my SV for “testing” purposes!

@RexXxuS Teams are still being finalised but it sounds like we have people for both sides now. What would you prefer us to use though, class 1 or 3?

Basically we Client and Server benchmark. Each benchmark takes ~5 minutes, then I’ll send the dev the files, he looks into it and can say straight away if we need more or if it’s enough for the first run.
All good well TCH will have a team of 6 ready.
