Connection issues so bad I can't play anymore

=> I keep getting disconnected from the server. It says things like “connection to dedicated server lost”. I can log on for about a minute, then it will kick me off. this happened before I spawned a questionable blueprint ship as well as afterwards.

Earlier today I had this issue and it was so bad that I had to stop playing. I then upgraded my machine with a new motherboard, reinstalled windows and steam, and reinstalled empyrion. I am still getting the same issues. One time I was spawned in the middle of space, 6 km from my ship. Another couple times I spawned in random unpowered spawn locations, one was a med bay (not a clone chamber) in an NPC base!

wow, sorry to hear about your trouble.
I tried to login at the same position as you and got also the exception which is visible in your log file at the bottom.
I didn’t get a connection issue though.

I will investigate the exception and report back on any news.
Until then I tried to teleport you to your Xardale base. There I didn’t get an exception.

Ok, Dev and I found the issue.
Will send them the save for a fix.

That’s not easy as this exception occurs inside Unity code. One LCD of that Base contains content that Unity’s TextMeshPro package cannot handle. I can try to fix this until there’s a package update.

But it might not relates to your connection issues. I’ve been around 1 hour near your structures on HWS NA now and didn’t get one single disconnect.
Maybe it’s your internet. VPN / WLAN / Hotspot / etc.

I restarted my cable modem a few times, and it seems to have fixed the issue. I actually found this solution about 12 hours ago, but I couldn’t post to the ticket as it needed to be approved by a moderator. sorry about that!
