DC, items lost

What happened?
=> I was in the middle of placing blocks in my newly built ship when I had a dc. I had dozens of Combat, hardened and carbon blocks plus eight sentry guns in my shortcut list via the ship’s WiFi. When I logged back in, everything was gone. Searched all containers in ship and surrounding structures but the items are nowhere to be found.

=> I am hoping that you can somehow track where my items went via server logs and help me get them back.

Hey, @Glorifier. Welcome to HWS :slight_smile:

The connected toolbar is unfortunately a badly implemented game feature, and any abrupt disconnect of it will basically guarantee you to lose whatever you had in it.
On top of that, we don’t have any logs about what you had in it or lost.

If you can tell me what exactly you lost (full item names + amounts), then maybe I can help you. But without that info, there’s nothing we can do.

I dont remember the exact amounts of blocks I had but I dont really sweat those. I do remember clearly that I had 8 sentry guns though and if you could help me with those, that’d be awesome…

Sure. Normally we would need a video of the loss to be able to help, since we don’t have logs, but I’ll make a one-time exception and return them next time I notice you offline :slight_smile:

No worries.

There are a few options. There’s for example Nvidia Shadowplay which records your most recent 20 minutes. AMD also has something similar. You can also record your most recent gameplay directly through Steam’s in-game overlay.

Those are the best ways to record these types of issues, and highly recommended.
If your future ticket templates include a video at the top, the odds of us being able to help increase by a lot.
