Didn't receive Origin gun

What happened?
=> I spoke to Captain Beckman, did her survey mission, when I got back i received DNA. Looked up what that was and learned I needed an Origin Gun to use the DNA. I did not get one before the mission. After completing the mission i spoke with her, she just tells me the mission is unrepeatable. Is there another way to get this Origin Gun?

yes, tricky dialogue system indeed. go back to EGS HQ and ask the blonde about origin weapons then how to obtain one. the 1st one is free…
