Can you send a screenshot of the error? “EAC issue” is not specific enough
Make sure you enabled EAC in your ingame settings. If you did, I guess try to verify your game file integrity and run the EAC Setup file in the below directory and repair it. ...\Empyrion - Galactic Survival\EasyAntiCheat\EasyAntiCheat_EOS_Setup.exe
I’m sure it was due to packet loss, something EAC is known for. Due to internet being down yesterday, I played some using my phone as a hotspot. Was disconnected a couple of times during that play session due to lag probably. I waited for internet to get back to normal and tried logging on again. The game would hang at Joining Server…and I mean for 10-15 minutes before I would just kill the game. I would try to join again, after verifying and reinstalling EAC, and would get the “kicked for 12 minutes” message. Even after waiting that time, server still hangs and unable to join. I even deleted the HWS folder in Saves/Cache folder. Here it is the next day and still the same issue of hanging at joining server. Below is a copy of the latest EAC log:

A few disconnects once in a while is unfortunately “normal” in Empyrion. From what I see in our logs, you were maybe 2-3 disconnects above normal yesterday, but nothing excessive.
One thing though. I noticed this in your log:
18-14:23:44.357 08_23 -LOG- Disconnect clicked by user
Never ever clicked the “Quit” button in Empyrion. Never ^^
If it doesn’t go away by itself, Alt + F4 and restart the game. It can carry more problems with it if you don’t restart the game manually
As for getting stuck in “Connecting”. One strategy that usually works for me is to restart your game, connect and wait 30-45 seconds, and if you’re still stuck, then click “Cancel” in the top left corner and then just wait. Don’t touch anything else.
In my experience, you’ll automatically start connecting within one minute, ironically enough.
No luck. Even uninstalled the game and completely nuked everything associated with game and EAC. Still nothing. Can’t connect to any public server now, not just HWS. Thought maybe I was banned by EAC but doesn’t look like it. I can load any other online games, even 7DTD that uses EAC garbage. Before anyone asks, router/modem has been reset many times. I’ve researched this topic and it’s happened many times since 2018, even on HWS servers, and have yet to find any reasons or fixes. I’m sure there’s nothing HWS can do, it’s obviously an EAC issue and it will never be resolved by them.
You keep mentioning EAC, even though you said you’re just stuck on “Connecting”. EAC has nothing to do with that.
If you’fe getting an error of some kind, I need a screenshot of it.
Dark, there is no “Error” message., it simply starts connecting like normal, but never gets past the Connecting to Server that you see if the upper left corner when you join any server. And EAC can either allow or disallow you to connect. Whether or not this is an issue caused by EAC, I don’t know. What I do know is it started when EAC put a 14 min block on me that day.
Bob, I ran through all of those first thing, other than try playing on different computer. But you did give me an idea. I fired up my VPN, which I seldom use, and tried connecting with that. I can connect like normal! Turn the VPN of, and not able to connect. Been a couple of days now and still need to connect through my VPN to play Empyrion. Who knows.
since it allows you to connect from the same machine over a VPN, it sounds like either your ISP is being blocked or your IP address itself.
try changing your external IP address on your modem. if you don’t know how to do that, power cycle it and connect any device other than the router and it should pick up a different address. then power cycle and reconnect back to abnormal.
that will let you know if it was the IP address, or your entire internet connection being blocked.
