Honestly, I have only ever gotten one free copy of any of my ships and I don’t care. I too have spent 100+ hours designing ships 5 of 7 made it to the garage (not counting redesigns). Could I have been mind nummingly grinding gold on HW/GG and making hundreds of millions in that time? yes. Do I think I should get anything? No, why? Why should I get no reward? Well because the reward is MY DESIGN IS IN THE GARAGE. I made a design so good that people like it and buy it. That is the reward. I wish more people liked the Pyre though… it was a cool tank.

I would say some reward is merited (1% or teleporters as mentioned) but the primary reason should never be to make tons of money so larger %s would be a bad idea.
I suspect that communication is a key reason for more people not building.I only found this thread by chance, have not received any ingame notifications suggesting I could build ships and not seen anything on discord. You may well have a lot of potential builders out there who simply don’t know about this.
I would happily build for the Garage, but would like to see the cost of extra X or X from class Y being linked to things like size class so that more specialist ships would be viable. I would also suggest discounts for building from less powerful materials rather than no extra cost. Paying extra for the best makes sense. Paying the same for sub-standard does not in my opinion.

I think the point of this topic was largely missed, it was never about “I don’t make enough money” it was trying to create some competition and a ladder for garage ship building. I agree, just getting your name on a ship in the garage is more than compensation enough, but clearly there could be more, higher quality submissions. It’s not about the creds, it was an idea to increase interest in building.

2cents from a relative noob who would like to know that there are ways to get ahead.
I see some merit in both arguments but I lean toward the notion that there should be some compensation/incentive other than vanity and altruism.
Perhaps a compromise might be some fixed number of credits or a resource package(based on tier) for a qualified entry to defray the personal and resource costs of the build, and some modest RP per sale to reflect if the ship is appreciated by the community.
If someone really doesn’t want it they can donate it to a fund for starving noobs or to the society for the prevention of cruelty to mobs or continuous bounties on forum trolls or something.

What happens, a week before the general release of ships, only one ship is put up? this is Bob’s ship))) After everyone else is exposed, that problem is Black and White obsolete)))) Only one but, the updated Black and White ball was sent to Ju before the New Year. I’m disappointed in this shit!
And where are the rewards for the top seven sold last season? Bob, you kind of should be there)))))

the eye was made and submitted long before the start of the new season, shortly after CPU was released. i figured there would be some time before ships were submitted and approved, so i started early to keep the garage alive. since i am familiar with the submission process, there was nothing holding it back from being released.
don’t give up hope @Chaser Ju has a lot of work to get all the submissions ready and will need our patience more than anything.
any builders needing advice can shoot me a message any time. i would be glad to offer any assistance to fill those spaces 
as for last season’s sales leaderboard rewards, i was wondering about the results myself. i am not looking for a reward, but would like to know which of my ships were more popular. i did not want to refit my previous garage ships for CPU that were not popular.

wasn’t built to traverse PvP unescorted. she’s more of a ninja miner. but it could easily be refitted with armor and a lot of patience

Patience is the very least form of respect.
Once Ju is back from “vacation” all will be done.
We stored the leaderboard of last season Garage sales and we will think about our announced “reward” for those ships or how to proceed from here on.
Many things are going on and unfortunately some players only see their topic needs to get addressed immediately.
I wish we could. Better PvE POIs, better POI loot, better Missions, Garage, PvP events, etc.
Ju and I had no vacation since 1+ year. After 4 years of HWS and the time we put into it, we are just at our limits - in many ways.

Sir, If a player who feels your pain, decided to throw some money at you but of course that player also knows you have much to do and money isn’t everything. What could a player volunteer to help with that you would need? Bash? Python? Java? Computer hardware? a new car?(the last one is a joke)

Well, as a loyal garage customer i must say : garage ships are quite expensive with 15m, so there has to be a certain chance that they survive or win a pirate clan encounter.
E.g. for the GG hover miner this is definitly not the case. If it is catched while mining gold on GG… byebye my 15m.
From the two SV one is build out of paper…if the shield fails you are instant dead. The other one is quite ugly and the direction of the mining lasers is weired.
The mining CV ? No one needs them as Rex doesnot allow us to land on the PVP planets, asteroids you can mine with a standard CV in the same or better time.
All these mining CVs look strange, the mining lasers are not in optimum positions for mining.
Also these CV are not good enough in firepower/hull strength to compete with a good standard battleship.
The same is valid for the pure warships, they are better than the mining CV and maybe can take the battleship CV of a good disigner, but i would not bet on that.
We need the garage ships of the good old times, where one garage battleship could take a whole fleet of Vanilla CVs.
First off never take a stock garage ship to a danger zone. You are just asking to lose your hard earned credits. There is no guarantee any ship will “survive or win a pirate clan encounter.” It is up to the ship’s owner to protect their own assets.
Fighter class ships are meant for battle. Miner class is meant for mining. Expedition class is meant to have a blend of both. Yes it was very nice to have xeno on our mining SV ships but we can thank CPU for killing that. These are the ships we can create with the tools given.
As for the death of the CV planetary miners? You can thank everyone that cried and complained to the admins about fairness.
Sadly the garage of the past will never return. It is very tough to build a garage ship. Much more difficult than you may think. We can only move forward and evolve with the changes that happen. If you have an idea on how to improve the current ships please offer suggestions. If you do not see the ship you want, by all means build and submit one yourself. We all would love to see more variety.

I am waiting in suspense of your garage ship submission. With the enabling of the CPU all the garage ships must be reworked, ie nerfed, to be able to fly. Wood base blocks must need processing power for them to rot properly. You want mega CVs that can live all day? Ok, build one, but within the same limits imposed on the other garage ship builders for them to be considered.
