We are returning players and wanted to create a faction under the Explorer Origin. We had to create new characters but see in o:info that we are Engineers. Did this carry over from at some point ?
the faction origin has no effect on anything in game. it just follows whoever created the faction initially. multiple origins can be mixed in a faction.

players can change their origin at the POI on ECC Planet. u have to leave faction and spend any origin xp obtained to do so.
the faction origin itself doesn’t change at all. unless u dissolve it and recreate it manually. so basically, possible? yes. does it give any benefits in game? not really.
