Good m/s speed value for a little Class 1/2 pvp/pve CV

Hi all,

i’m totally noob about the game and i wanted to unterstand what is considered un good value for acceleration in m/s for all directions/turn/rotation etc. in both, pvp and pve.

1)I can assume that “the highter is better” but what is considered the minimum value? Actually i want to build little class 1 (maximum class 2) CV and i usually don’t want to go under 30 m/s in every directions and i don’t want to have one direction that is faster than another so usually i want the same speed in all directions, but this is my noob assume :stuck_out_tongue:

2)Another question is about maximum speed: i’ve seen in some video that someone arrived to 115 m/s speed in space with a class 1 CV, and can’t understand why i can’t go up 92 m/s. What i’m missing?

3)I can’t understand the “CPU” value. now i’ve 10500/7500 so i’m using more than what i have but all seems to work pretty well so what’s the point of this? And how can i increase the “7500” that is the standard value?

ty all for the response ^^

  1. Higher is better for acceleration, minimum is 0 (ie no thrusters), and max is as many as you want per direction up until you hit class 7. But, more thrusters = more power consumption, and the more blocks you add for an armor effect will require more thrusters to keep your power to weight ratio. It can be a delicate balance, depending on how you plan on using your CV. If you are planning on PvE, and its a class 1, at least 2 thrusters for each direction just in case. PvP, and you will go nuts figuring best amount and placement. Honestly if you plan on PvP in a class 1 CV, do a LOT of testing beforehand before even spawning it on HWS, as you will burn through your resources at a very fast rate trying to test out your ship.

  2. On HWS the maximum is 92 m/s period, in every direction. If someone is going 115 m/s it was either pre-alpha 9 on HWS, and if not HWS it may be an alternate server.

  3. CPU value can be ignored at the moment on HWS as it is not enforced. Don’t worry about it til it is announced that the CPU value will be enforced on HWS.

Ty lot for response!

The problem may be what kind of thruster use… i’ve done a class 2 CV that work pretty well in space (40 m/s in every directions) but i’ve 3 Large thrusters in every directions, that means insane amount of fuel needed… i’m trying now to use the XL ones and i’ll see.
So 30-40 m/s are decent for a class 1-2 ship?

The minimum recommended for a pure orbit CV is 20m/s, 30m/s if you are going to land.
