How do you upgrade something that is upgradable?

What happened?
=> How do you upgrade something. For example my projectile turrets (cv) are upgradable to heavy. Is this done on the existing weapon itself, or in the Constructor? I have upgrade kits but don’t know how to use them?

you put all the parts needed for the upgrade into a cargo container/box (including upgrade kits), then link your toolbar to it and select “upgrade” option on a multitool in your normal toolbar and “shoot”/upgrade the turret/blocks
