How much reputation is lost on death?

In the 6.2 HWS Guide it says -1/death. Which seems simple enough but a friend of my decided to suicide and chose fresh start and arrived with 1 Rep point on the start world.

  1. who is your friend?
  2. how many RP he had for reset?
