  • Added couple of fail safes for the Alien Asylum Mission to be able to reach the Boss or return to ECC if it failed

  • per request I enhanced the HWS Logistics Feature to support another naming syntax.

Before it was:
Prefix + Key + Index (Example: Iron Ingot HWSBOX1 / Iron Ingot HWSLCD1)

Now you can also do:
Key + Index + Suffix (Example: HWSBOX1 Iron Ingot / HWSLCD1 Iron Ingot)

:warning: Limitations:

  • you can NOT color code the key in this new variation. For example [ff0000]HWSBOX1 Iron Ingot does NOT work. HWSBOX1 [ff0000]Iron Ingot do though.
  • there needs to be a space between key+index and suffix

  • fixed a critical DB index issue for our whole epm api infrastructure. It consumed 60-100% CPU since weeks. With the fix we are down under 10%.
    Sometimes stuff like that is discovered only after many years, randomly :see_no_evil_monkey:
    TL;DR: HWS Connect should be in certain request cases butter smooth now (check if you are online, Marketplace, Stimpack, etc.)

  • finally fixed the PTD (Personal Teleport Device) in HWS Connect > Universe. The Playfield Data of RE is end of a season too big (hundreds of MB big file, where the browser says: nope, 500 err). You can use it again to teleport for a certain fee to ECC EGS HQ directly.

  • a new feature got added! “Favorite Playfields”:
    Requested here: Discord but on my TODO list for some time more or less.
    The idea and how it works:
    The ingame registry can get crowded after some time, there is no search, no notes.
    In HWS Connect you have all of that now, but since we have currently 403.000+ playfields created on RE EU and RE NA, we can’t crawl all playfield data since it crashes the web browser. We also can’t use your ingame registry, since the global.db is over 5GB big.
    Which means I had to implement it in a “lite” version.

How it works

  1. Visit any playfield you want
  2. Then go to HWS Connect and click on HWS Universe and open the Favorite Playfields. The playfield you are currently in, will be listed in the table.
  3. You can then click on the :star: icon to permanently save it on your own HWS Connect database and set personal notes to it.

That’s it. Over time you have then a way to manage your visited playfields. It’s just important that you remember to visit HWS Connect any time you visited a favorite playfield.

I’m proud to announce that we had an unexpected Audit of our web services the last days. Very well spent couple of hundreds Euros.
HWS Connect Version 2 is running since 6 years, 24/7 and the responsibility is very high that the API and everything related to that is secure and you can trust it.
There were 1 big issue and 2 small ones found and fixed within 12 hours by Hayawen. Another one regarding the game API itself, something Eleon unfortunately added a regression in.
One issue of the audit was a XSS one that nobody abused until then but must / have been fixed nevertheless of course.
Overall a very solid result and a relieve going into the future with a secure foundation - as secure as it can be, for now at least.

Known issues

- OCD wrong items due ID shifts. Hold on with pulling items for now Should work again. Make really sure to clear your Browser Cache. In Chrome for example CTRL + SHIFT + ENT

HWS Community Photo Shooting Rewards Info

  • All players got their rewards.
    NOTE: each player only got the reward once - of course. IF some players play on multiple servers at the same time and I gave the reward on the “wrong” one, please make a ticket and I shift it over. Do not touch your rewards in this case please.

  • Added the Community Photo in the SharedData folder. This means another loading queue.

      After ~9 years this was long overdue I guess…
  • improved the MCP (price calculation) of the HWS Connect Marketplace API for EAH. Some items were not correctly taken into account for price calculations when using the insurance or sell ship feature
    The duration of item history got increased, more market manipulation cases were fixed, a season reset considered, etc.

  • Added EB Credits | HWS DNA | Playhours to the HWS Connect Marketplace page (see screenshot). That way you know directly what data you work with while trading
  • Added new HWS Marketplace Feature: Max Buyer Playhours. With this, when you sell items, you can set the Playhours, the buyer should have at least, to be able to buy it in the first place. This should prevent trade sniping (discussed in feedback channel Discord
  • Added convenience visual that if no offers for a filtered item or in general no items are available (start of season) you see an info about it below the filters now (see last screenshot)

  • Redesigned the HWS Marketplace page!
    So often players did not even know how to sell items. Often players didn’t know about the Group Offers View (former Compact view) or why their offers were gone. The Market Stats on the Dashboard got randomly placed there for some reason.

It is now all consistent and nicely put together I think. With of course convenience features for you:
you can collapse the header area down. This is persistent stored in your localstorage, to remember your choice of layout.

The Sell Items from Inventory window is now not a fake popup anymore, getting you away from the offers, but instead is now visible with everything else. This layout choice is also stored in the localstorage, so it remembers the layout (if you want the Sell view always available or not)

Also improved the Group Offers View design in the offer listings. Instead of a “v” you see now a clear dropdown button with the count of offers within the group

  • Balance changes for the HWS Marketplace price changes in terms of the discussed undercutting concerns.
    I’ve added a small adjustment to how price changes work on the Marketplace to reduce endless micro-undercutting while keeping normal trading untouched.

What changed?

Price changes on an active listing now have a progressive cost if done repeatedly.

  • The first price change is free (inside the Marketplace Zone)
  • Each further change costs slightly more
  • The more often you change the price, the higher the fee
  • Resets after successful trade or trade cancelation or after 12 hours without changing the price

If you rarely adjust prices, nothing changes for you.

Inside Marketplace Zones

  • First change: free
  • After that: costs increase step by step (2%, 3%, 4%, … N% credits + (N − 10) HWS DNA)
  • After many changes, a small HWS DNA cost is added

Outside Marketplace Zones

  • Price changes start with a higher cost ((N × 10)% credits + N HWS DNA)
  • Each additional change becomes more expensive

Why this was added

  • Prevents infinite “-1 credit” undercut wars
  • Discourages AFK price micromanagement
  • Rewards setting a fair price and sticking with it
  • Keeps the market readable and healthier for everyone

Additional safeguards

  • Price changes must be at least ±1% or 100 credits
  • Each listing now shows a price change history icon
    • Click it / hover over it to see how often the price was changed recently (see screenshot)

Important

  • Buying and selling works exactly like before
  • No cooldowns
  • No price caps
  • No forced limits
  • Casual sellers are unaffected
  • This only targets excessive repricing, not normal trading.

Values here are the first iteration and will be adjusted based on Feedback. Next I wanted to bound it to Origin benefits (Dealer Origin have the least fee costs e.g.)

While I’m at it, I want to complete it before moving on to my other TODOs.

  • Based on feedback, a min. personal delta of 100 is too much, if we are talking about unit prices of <100
  • Added Dealer Origin bonus:
    • the Personal and Market Delta is only 1 (the ± 1% stays)
    • the reset timer is 6h instead of 12h
  • Added Personal and Market Delta. Which means your own listings need to have the 1/10 or ±1% delta (Personal Delta) and for undercutting attempts you need the 1/10 and ±1% delta (Market Delta)
  • Added when timer resets in the icon text/popup
  • Made the Group Offers View button toggle more prominent when active and when inactive
  • Fixed Price Change icon is now respecting individual listings in the Group Offers View
  • Fixed Price change icon and group offer badge count got not applied when scrolling and new offers were listed

It took me almost 2 days to get a working local testing environment setup but now I’m ready to go which should prevent such incidents as last time, at least as good as I can test stuff beforehand.

  • Added (finally) a confirmation popup for fees, reason for the fee inclusive (see first screenshot). Before they got just taken from you :sweat_smile:
  • Added the Max Playhour slider for changing your offers too now
  • Added new Filter Item Checkbox to the Seller panel (Patreon locked like the filter). A nice convenience feature, to instantly filter the items in the marketplace table for the item you want to sell
  • Added Item Sale History min max total min total max numbers to the title and gave option to make it collapsible (non patrons see the item sale history too now with ? values)
  • Added Max Buyer Playtime slider also to the OCD Sell popup
  • Added Item Sale History chart also to the OCD page when clicking at the trade min/max table cell
  • Added Hotview into the right sidebar
  • Allow to merge offers, if unit price and max playhours match
  • Remembering the unit price and max playhours you set on previous trade now. That way you can faster sell multiple items (session based)
  • Reworked and restyled the right sidebar in HWS Connect that it can be optionally stay static open, so the content adapts to it
  • Changed the filter logic for the Playhours table column to >= (greater than) instead of <= (less than).
  • Fixed Discord Join Link in the right sidebar wasn’t working

  • Added Item info when the OCD Item Sale History popup got opened (as Patreon you can sell items straight out of your OCD)
  • Added Base, CV, SV, GV indicator from the game into HWS Connect! I had to extend the ECF parser for EAH and it is now exporting it to our API (AllowPlacingAt":"Base,MS,SS,GV"). HWS Connect then process this API json and adds it to all items on relevant places (Player Info, OCD, HWS Marketplace page, HWS Trader).
    It was kinda requested for a long time, since the namings in Reforged Eden are often idiotic (CV and BA turrets share the same name, so players sometimes bought the wrong item type). But since I was in the flow and AI is carrying me, I thank for the suggestion here: Discord
  • Fixed a Marketplace unit price change bug

Just some polishes…

  • Restyled the header server region select dropdown.
  • Added thousand separator for the Item Sale History flyover tooltips
  • Fixed that the OCD page had the Min Max values shown based on active listings. Therefore Alien Cores showed Min / Max = 0. Now the values are properly fetched from the Market History database table
  • Fixed the new colored type indicators were not working for the dynamic block IDs. All items should show the Base (red) /CV (yellow) /SV (green) /GV (blue) colored square indicator now
  • Fixed that type indicators were not working for child blocks. Now the Referenced parent block is considered (in terms of AllowPlacingAt: "Base", "MS", "SS", "GV"
  • Fixed that changing just the Max Buyer Playtime of a Marketplace Offer, could trigger the history timer. Now it really triggers only when the credit unit price is changed
  • Fixed that 0 could be set as Max Buyer Playtime. Min. of 10 is the lowest now.
  • Fixed empty blocks/slots got the red and yellow type indicator set
  • Fixed Total Playhours was not always rendered

Nothing to do on Christmas…

  • Added new “Daily Trading Volume” for items for Patron Elite and up. It is above the Item Sale History chart (see screenshot). (very old request from a Community member)
  • Implemented Feedback: Discord
  • Added more detailed info for fees when selling items
  • Prepared changes for the next season - feel free to discuss it in the <#1395801428139708436> channel:
    • Selling items, as in any other game and real life, cost credits and HWS DNA even when inside a zone BUT
    • For the Dealer Origin with EB Level 10 it is still free (for Bank level 9, it is 2% credits only fee, level 8 3% and so on)
    • For any other Origin it is 10% credits fee and 1 HWS DNA
    • Outside the zone it is 20% and 2 HWS DNA now
    • This is also a request from a community member long time ago and comes up overall frequently when it is about selling trash items in high quantity. And to boost the Dealer Origin properly more. Feel free to discuss the change. It is not active yet.
  • Fixed the Bar chart had not tooltip highlight when hovering over it
  • Fixed that the Sell Item(s) button was inactive after a successful trade (you had to refresh the whole page to sell again)

  • Preparation for next season already: CVs can enter Star Fragment 1 playfields
  • Added a new dedicated, long deserved page for our HWS Patrons in HWS Connect.
    I made it conditional, depending if you are a Patron or not, you see different text/sections (see Screenshot).
    For non Patrons it is hopefully clear enough what the steps are to become a Patron and link the Patron account. Also what benefits you will get / have.
    The Thank You section was moved from the Support Us page to this new page instead, at the bottom where you get also more deserved room, not hidden behind a dropdown mechanic.
    I’ll redesign the Benefit Tier PDF as soon as I can.

A very big update / enhancement for the Patreon HWS Logistics Feature. Thank you very much for that mike ! <:CatHeart:572896013220708362>

  • Ammo & Decay options formatting improved and can also be completely hidden. Items with same Ammo / Decay values will now be merged as well when using HWS Scan
  • LCDs for the respective boxes are now optional everywhere! No longer need to follow a numerical order (1, 2, 3) and not required at all for HWS Sort or HWS Dock Sort
  • Dock sorting is now bi-directional! It collects items from ALL Input-Containers from all docked vessels, and distributes the items back into ALL Output-Containers on any vessel (this is perfect for those living in huge carriers with docked modules :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes: )
  • Added Configuration Options:
    • You can change the HWSBOX prefix (e.g. to HB if you prefer a shorter one), and even leave it empty, to select ALL boxes automatically as long as they are grouped. Note that leaving it empty, is incompatible with the HWS Scan.
    • HWSSORTER and HWSCROPS can also be renamed!
    • A toggle was added, that lets you completely hide the Ammo & Decay info when using HWS Scan
    • A toggle was added to distribute items evenly into output containers. This can help if you want to run a lot of Constructors / Food - Processors in parallel, and evenly fill up multiple Containers for them evenly.
    • The Colors being used on LCDs can now be changed (4 different colors total). Might be convenient for people building their base in a specific Color-Theme :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:
  • Added a Information tab, which explains every feature and the configurations in detail directly ingame!
  • Sorting (if not using the distribute-items-evenly mode) now prioritizes output containers by their number. So HWSBOX1 will be filled first, then HWSBOX2 and so on.
