I keep getting booted due to 'cannot send to dedicated server anymore'

======= NOTICE FOR HELP =======

What happened?
=> When I log into NA reforged server, if I am lucky enough to actually log on, it usually lasts a few mins, then I get the “cannot send to dedicated server anymore”.

I use Norton Anti Virus (Firewall and Auto Protect), and I disable them for up to 5 hours. This initially seems to work but I am getting kicked in mins, even after a reboot, and re-logging into the RE NA server. It used to be quite stable for long periods of time when I did the steps above.

Is there something else I need to do?

Player(s) with issue? (steam name)
=> territorialbrewer

Server? (+ EU or + NA or RE EU or RE NA)
=> RE NA

When did it happen? (Use server time: type ingame cb:time)
=> Always

On which Playfield?
=> Any

Structure Name(s)?
=> n/a

Structure ID(s) (Open ingame console and type di)?
=> n/a

How can we help you now?
=> I’d like to know how I can reliably connect to the server without getting booted every few mins. Surely someone else has experienced this. I haven’t seen anything exactly like this in the FAQ/ support DB, but I will continue to look. Hopefully solving this will help others. Your help is appreciated very much,

Hello and welcome back,
sorry to hear you have troubles.

Checking the logs I see

14-14:38:42.182 15_38 -LOG- [Steamworks.NET] Kicking player CId=x, EId=x, x/=/'territorialbrewer' with invalid login. Response: k_EAuthSessionResponseAuthTicketCanceled
14-14:38:42.182 15_38 -LOG- Server kicking player CId=x, EId=x, x/=/'territorialbrewer': Kicked by STEAM (AuthTicketCanceled). Please check your login data. (Maybe a Family Sharing problem?)
14-14:38:42.182 15_38 -LOG- EAC2: Unregistered CId=x, EId=x, x/=/'territorialbrewer' K
14-14:38:44.986 15_38 -LOG- Requesting pf server with PID xto unload playfield 'Dread Sector'
14-14:38:45.186 15_38 -LOG- Client CId=x, EId=x, x/=/'territorialbrewer' disconnected from Roon, now empty -> delayed unload enqueued
14-14:38:45.186 15_38 -LOG- [CM] Player CId=x, EId=x, x/=/'territorialbrewer' disconnected

Which as you can see looks to me like a steam / EAC issue. Which also means we have no control over it whatsover.

So for now I can only recommend to do the generic things (that helped for some)

  • clear your cache (but not the blueprint folder)
  • verify your steam files
  • if you have too many workshop subscriptions, clean up
  • no WLAN
  • no VPN
  • no Hotspot
  • no other interfering software towards steam/EAC/Empyrion
  • check your DNS
  • clear your Router cache
  • google it

Wish I could help more.
Good luck!

Hi Rex! Thanks! What worked was: Verification of Steam Files, clearing steam cache, and Uninstall/ Reinstall…seems to be good now. Thanks!
