I was thinking of doing the same thing but I hate having to start over again so soon after a wipe. I think I’m just going to wait until things are fixed on the NA side. Maybe take a break from the game, it’s so time consuming. I’ll be checking back from time to time and see how things are going. Apparently the service provider is garbage and they’re looking to get a refund and move over to a new service. Good news is Rex said they got a backup so hopefully there won’t be any (or much) loss once it’s back running.

Any update on the NA server? Strange that it’s having this issue and not the EU server. To me it just sounds like a bad box. They should have been able to move everything for you to a new box without any hassle.

Hey,

the EU server is a different provider than the NA server was. I refunded the NA server and bought a new server by the provider of the EU server. As soon as I setup everything I let you know of course.

Rex is working on it, he had to change providers and rebuild the server.

  • new NA server is with the same provider as the EU server
  • it is a new hardware configuration
  • he has backups of the old NA server, there should be minimum loss after he restores the back up
  • new servers require a substantial number of patches and service packs, this takes time
  • once he is done patching he still needs to configure firewall rules, configure the NICs, etc etc and then install and configure the game server and restore the backup data

Please give the guy a break, its a lot of work many parts he has to sit and wait while they complete. From what he has said in chat on EU and on this forum he has been working tirelessly to get the new server up, I can assure you he hasn’t gotten much sleep either. Try to be more understanding, try to be more patient, and for God’s sake try to be more appreciative.
