I’m guessing you’re using the ingame browser to do it? If yes, don’t use that for anything payment related.
It’s a cookieless browser, so you can’t login the way you’re trying to.
Use a real browser 
If you are using a real browser, then try with another one.

my account is valid, the payment went through and i am a patreon member, i just can’t connect patreon with the game
Syncronising the forum doesn’t you give any ingame benefits. You just get a little Patron mark next to your name
If you want the ingame benefits, it’s HWS Connect you need to synchronize with. The full guide is here:

But you need to go to the https://support.hws.global page, and take it from there.

common issue,
1st, start with a different browser.
2nd, make sure this browser is not already signed into patreon.com (it doesn’t link properly if ur already signed in)
3rd, try the link process again on the supporter page.
4th, seeing fireworks = mission complete
5th, run co:info command in game to make sure patreon level has increased.
I can’t help more until you create a new ticket and fill out the template.
