Questions - Cross Server Warp

Greetings,
I have some questions regarding cross server warp:

First Question:
Two weeks ago i warped from RE EU to RE NA, and then warped back into RE EU.
When i try to access the hws connect of RE NA, i get the error " You are inactive. Log in to the HWS Servers to get updated data…".

I can assume that both fueled orbital autominers, and elemental bank interest of RE NA are disabled, when i go inactive in RE NA?

Second Question:
What would happen if i logged into RE NA by mistake, without doing cross server warp first? Would my RE EU character be erased from RE NA?

Yes, that’s correct. Nothing is active for your player, if you’re considered inactive.

If you’re logged in for at least 2-3 minutes, it might update HWS Connect again, but I’m not 100% sure. Nothing will be overwritten :slight_smile:

I wouldn’t be so sure. If you’re not CSW’ed, EAH considers you “on the other server”, which means you can’t use commands and such.
The question is if that prevents you from being considered active or not, when you didn’t CSW back first.

correct, it shows as inactive when we are gone for 7days. all features are paused until u return.

nothing “bad” really. u are just floating in the CSW sector with no ship, backpack, or access to anything on HWS connect until u CSW back there. so u just sit there until u starve or suffocate.

note: it’s not recommended to try working around this by catching a ride out of CSW sector when logging into the wrong server. u will have zero access to anything on HWS connect and find many broken roads.

yeh it takes 5-10 mins for hws to catch up properly… for if csw takes time, cb:startjobs may help :wink:

Woops, enter too soon. He’s asking if you log into the other server without CSW’ing, so your commands would be disabled and such.

So what you’re saying is that i would be floating in space, but would probably bring hws connect back online in the RE NA server?

First part is correct; you’ll be floating in space. It’s not recommend to play at all, without CSW’ing back. You’ll get problems eventually.

Whether HWS Connect stops considering you inactive or not, that’s a maybe. It depends on how a few things are coded. You can test if you want.

not until u CSW back there. no matter how long u stay on the wrong server, it will give the middle finger that u exist on another server.

That’s a big yes, i’m floating in space and the RE NA server has come back online, after about 30 seconds.

I was apprehensive about upgrading my Orbital Autominer on the NA server because server inactivity would stop it after a week.

However, it seems there is an easy way to activate it again.

If i need to use server commands, seems logical that i need to warp there first.

technically u can log into each server individually without CSW but only if u have not done a CSW already that season. it is already too late for this season since u have already done one. might be something to think about after the next wipe.

note: specific patreon levels allow us to warp OCD & EB contents without CSW. this is what i have been doing for years.

both methods have advantages and disadvantages. u just have to know what ur getting into and how work with the makeshift tools we have available.

my suggestion: use the CSW for the remainder of this season, try playing on both servers individually without CSW next season, then decided which method works best for u on the following seasons.

So if i upgrade ocd to lvl 5 and the orbital auto miners to lvl 10 in RE NA, next season i can login into RE NA without loosing any progress.

Then i can use OCD and EB warp to manage my belongings between both servers, without having the need to cross server warp every time?
