=> After curing radiation poisoning/sickness I’m stuck with a green aura. Then I IMMEDIATELY get full blown radiation sickness after leaving my ship.

You are still irradiated. Use a shower to drop your radiation level to 0.

The advanced medical devices cure the effects of the radiation, they do not clear your system of radiation. Nope, for that you don’t need hi tech medical devices, just a shower.
