Stuck on starter world with no gear - don't know how I got here

**What happened: Played thru welcome tutorial last night (awesome btw). Found a spot, started building a base, had to log, so I parked myself in a crevasse and hoped for the best. Logged back on later, and was falling in an escape pod - figured, oh, I guess I died while offline or something. Landed, had minimal gear, but was able to get by, played about 3 hours. This morning, I’m back on the starter world - that’s when I realized that last night I was on Acrua(sp?) the jungle-y world. It’s almost like I was on the wrong server - but I checked my server history, I’ve only been on HWS NA.

**How can we help you now: So now I’m on the start world, with no equipment, and no backpack marker. If I need to start over, I can deal - maybe I chose the wrong button at respawn (but I didn’t wipe my character - I’m still level 5, so I don’t think so). Just hoping to figure out what I did wrong, so I don’t log another 3 hours and make the same mistake again. I deliberately killed myself to see if I’d get an option at respawn (other than reset/wipe). I read through FAQ’s, scanned recent forum posts, read getting started guide, nothing sounds like what I ran into. Thanks in advance for the help!

Update: Ok, so despite reading the welcome center stuff (twice) etc, I missed the FA:Supply thing. So, I should be able to get back on my feet. Still curious about my lost work though.

Update 2: I forgot that after completing the tutorial, my first log off was due to being idle. When I came back, I saw I’d died, and had some respawn options, but nothing was clickable due to the idle logoff. Ultimately had to Alt+F4 to kill the game, and log back in. I bet that had something to do with it.

A base needs a minimum of 9 blocks or it is considered a mini structure. Those get deleted after time.

Safe bet is to do at least 15 blocks minimum of a structure so it does not get automatically deleted.

You know Cryo L1 is PVP right? Your base was destroyed by an enemy.
But as Taco said it also had to less blocks if I see it right (or it was dismantled), so it would also have been destroyed on its own after some time.

I did not, but that’s fine - no arguing with the server logs.
So if I finished the tutorial, founded a small base, and then got blown up, is it expected that I’d be in an escape pod the next time I log in? That was the part I was most confused about.

I was alive when I logged off the second time - but the next time I logged in, I was back on the starter planet. Can you get killed while logged out, and does that automatically put you back on the starter world? If so, then mystery solved.

If not, I’m chalking it up to the game locking up after I died (the first time), and the idle timer expiring. I know it’s a convoluted story - I work in tech support in RL, I get it. Either way, thanks for responding!

hm not really sure what you mean. You never left the starter Planet.

If you die on starter you will not get a escape pod. You have to do a cb:restart for that.
