The connected toolbar is unfortunately a buggy feature, and any abrupt disconnect will almost certainly mean you lose your items.
We don’t really have any logs over it, and therefore we normally need a video of the loss, to be able to help.
But as a one-time exception, I’ll take your word for it 
I put them in your inventory now.
