Make that in any pvp, you cant spawn bases, those must be made by hand. Now start of the season our faction played pvp allmost only and its allways the same, attacks is made by spawning huge amount off attack bases closer and closer, that is really stupid, any ship is used rarely on that purpose. Or at least make that bases cannot be made at all in firing distance, not even close. Extremely frustrating and our faction stopped play planetary pvp because of stupid base spawning race.

Rex want’s to do that for 8 if the game permits

I am against using attack bases, but there should be limits for spawning bases on PvP planets. Something akin to allowing to spawn 1 base on PvP per faction every 24 hours, and is reset once a base is placed for another 24 hour cool down.

By limiting the bases like that you’re making it to where the attackers literally have to attack at the instant that an initial “defender” would put his bases down… otherwise your bases timers start ticking and, by virtue of your bases going down first, you have the absolute advantage when it comes to base-to-base combat. Your “24h timer” will expire sooner than the attacker allowing you to refresh a tower that’s put down faster than the attacker. This inherently feels wrong, in my opinion*

I think swaying the tide in the favor of the defender is a sure way to sorely impact population on the server.

Forcing defenders to actually defend against attack towers is just about the only way to generate content in PVP at the moment, otherwise Anti-grief and OLP just 100% safe-space your entire hive.

If you are defender and face against bigger attacker, attacker can always bring more stuff in, but you are completely outnumbered and cant get materials in and outnumbered you cant even spawn as fast any counter bases.
Allowing spawn bases in pvp and spawn them in firing distance is absolute stupid and only make wider cap between bigger and smaller factions. Ships is for attacking bases. Bases are only for like the name say bases and for defence purpose.

whole season played pvp and everytime all attackers used attack bases, what is the point having ships at all, if all just spawn bases and counter bases, this is mostly game with ships but surely it wont feell like it in exprerience we had in planetary pvp, and in what world you have moving bases that coming closer and closer instantly. Surely eleon did not think at fist place that fight is done like that, there is ships for that. Sure you also know that manual firing range is still longer than AI fire, without restrictions you can rape whole base without any losses at all, with attack bases. We want that fights are done like they are tought to be done and designed at first place to done, with ships, and if you want to attack that base, same answer, there is ships

24h timer is not goog thing as it allows problems vandruis mentioned. Best is that all pvp is only for hand made bases and you cant make base at all in any firing distance. Lets base attacks be like it designed to be, attack with ships

My only issue with not being able to use attack bases is that with current block limitations a faction of 3 or 4 will never be able to kill a defending factions bases especially if there’s defenders present. The damage difference between bases and subcapital vessels is too great to ready shoot turrets or lumberjack current tower designs.

bases should not even be that easy to raid with solo or few people and off course depends the size and desing of base, if its only hand buid you cant make that good defences or its at least much harder and it takes lots of time, Allowing only hand build is fair. We have destroyed bases with few people and with only hv:s so its still possible, but not efforless like now when using magically “moving” bases. We never use tactis we thinks is exploit and using attack bases is by our mean exploit, that also means when we play as desingned, it is no way we can ever win completely everywhere if not also use attack bases to counter and that is what we are not interested at all. That means as we dont want to use so undesigned and stupid tactis it leaves as the point we make choice not to play pvp before this is fixed. Its also allways possible to change base turret stats if its not feel like balanced
