Star Command has been waiting a prolonged time to have out playfields entered in. As such, leadership was waiting to add our supergates in as we wanted our first entry to be our space playfields supergate.
But while we waited, our non officers went and purchases supergates and added them without ever consulting faction leadership. Additionally we planed the next in line supergate entries to be located near the star frags and listed in order and everything to look like:
Warp1: Star Command HQ
Warp2: SF1-Pirates
Warp3: SF2-Polaris
and so on, with additional gates filled in after.
So here are my various questions:
As faction leadership, can I request this be sorted out as described above?
We have a template for the names, since they did not consult faction leadership, their warp entries are not in sync, can I provide corrections, or do they have to submit for corrections?
Warp entries all have S-C- at the start, this seems redundant and extra text to type out for warps within the S-C supergate network, can I request that be trimmed, or is it needed?
The physical supergates have names like Kings Supergate, can I request all of the supergates be named “S-C Supergates” or does that need to be unique per gate for teleportation linking purposes?
Sorry, we’ve never had members not consult leadership about attaching to the network and this season we’ve had not one but two players do it and not even let anyone know until they were in.
Clearly, a we have to add this to our faction rules going forward.
While I think I understand, we unfortunately can’t really account for your intra-faction policies and rules. There are too many factions on HWS for us to be able to keep track of such things
So in the end, it’s up to your own faction to manage such things.
In your own playfields, if you notify us (primarily me, since I spawn supergates) that you don’t want any supergates spawned yet, then we can try to respect that decision.
But outside your playfield, we can’t really keep track of who’s allowed to spawn supergates in your faction, and when.
Naming changes we can do if you request them, as long as it’s not too often. Max once per week, per supergate.
It’s best if it’s the person who bought the supergates that requests the name change, so we won’t potentially get put in the middle of an intra-faction conflict
Sorry, it’s not an option to remove it. We use it to keep track of supergates as well, so we can link them.
Thanks - yeah, we never had someone not work the faction leader to do this, caught us off guard, didn’t know we needed a rule about it. Everyone has always worked with leadership sigh
That got all of it but one point, can I request reorganizing the list? if it’s a pain, I understand if not. I know how finicky empyrion and annoying doing things in empyrion can be.
If you mean change the order of the items in the supergate list, then unfortunately not. It might technically be possible, but I’m not sure, and it would be a lot of effort to do
Haven’t heard back, so just going to post here, if need me to create a new ticket for this let me know.

Hey,
to hook in:
we had this in the past already: be it supporter playfields or Supergates: ONE person from ONE faction should make ALL requests. Or at least communicate to not create even more work for everyone involved.
As Dark said, physical Supergates can’t be changed. Jascha has implemented a function tracking them to keep them alive, as long as the playfields loads from time to time.
We visited them as a faction and collated the data for the request.
It wasn’t requested last season that I personally have visited the playfields being put in for faction use.
It’s possible that we just forgot to check last season. But it is a requirement that the person who requests the supergates have visited the playfields themselves.
We can’t rename the main supergates in your sectors.
Are you 100% sure you want these coordiantes? It’s only ~200 meters from the planet, and the supergate has a range of 1,5 kilometers. You’ll sometimes end up spawning inside of the planet.
For now, I didn’t spawn it in, until you confirm.
Other than that one supergate, I spawned in the others now.
I gather the 207 in the coords( 207, 2516, -12072) is a indication of the ~200 range you speak of, does bumping that up to around 1700, 2516, -12072 put it in acceptable spawn location?
That’s good news about the original coords for SF5
but…
I asked they be added to network in that specific order…
now I’m being told by faction that the SC HQ supergate isn’t added to the network and that SF5 was added after everything instead of after SF4? Isn’t that going to be impossible to add into the list as requested?
I’m told after waking up that SC HQ isn’t in the network, I assume Globecorp isn’t either? I’m just waking up and getting some caffiene in me to check, but getting the ball spinning on this based on what faction mates are telling me.
