Shot at this one 140 Pistol bullets, 63Sniper roundsā¦
I got to this part of the quest ā¦
Then it spawned and i decided to leave it be and come back after sleepingā¦
When i relogged in it was hoovering over my āhomeā and well owned my Sv before i could get a shot in.
then i started shoting it from behind a rock and it flew through rock and killed me ā¦
imo i think its got something to do with the log out ā¦ ?

and just to be sure: it was in range? Unfortunately the only feedback if itās in range is, when your cursor becomes red.
Yes, pistol shots were at 10 m as it was coming at me through rock
Sniper was at 67 meters.
Hm, I asked the creators and they said there are no invincible drones. Not sure. I canāt destroy drones remotely at least.
I can try and login and check asap.

The quest didnt finish when destroying the drone it respawned and not its chasing me again ā¦ i am away from it but i am afraid to log out
hand weapons are absolute trash trying to kill drones. that mission can be manually checked off to continue. it is highly recommended to come back with more firepower before continuing the story mission. it takes place entirely in starter and we have a 14-day decay timer on anything we spawn there. you should go out and explore the rest of the galaxy before trying to continue that quest. it was initially designed as single player to show you how to play the game then explore but would take way too long in a multiplayer universe.
Best weapons for drone hunting on foot is the Assault Rifles or Minigun. What you were using is weak and not very good with drones by design. Also have to account for missed shots too as they happen.
Future tip digging a hole to shoot from can sometimes help. A tunnel even better as gives you a few openings to attack from. Note while being hit the drone can not shoot at you which is why above weapons are more effective as they have higher ammo clip.
Finally SV or HV Fixed Gattling is best for early game. Turrets tend to spend a lot of ammo on one drone. Can hurt early game where later not as worried.
TY for the tips the issue is that i didnt account for the drone being homing in on me ā¦ and it is like that from this quest meaning if i log out i am doomed to spawn with it over me ā¦
quite interesting and crap design if you ask me
either way this thread can be closed its solved
those drones home-in to anyone in 150-200m radius and they wander at least 300-400m around the place where they spawnedā¦and if you are near the Heidelberg, drones that spawned for other peoples quests will also target you and everyone aroundā¦
this quest is from default vanilla game, not Reforged Eden, and it is not really balanced for multiplayer so this things happen
