The Cross Game Rewards (CGR) system is a brand-new feature in HWS Connect that rewards you in HWS Empyrion for playing on HWS Rust — two games, one progression. An HWS-exclusive crossover!
Hop onto HWS Rust, then jump into HWS Empyrion and claim your loot. Climb the chain over the season and the rewards keep getting better. 
How It Works
It’s a simple 3-tier chain that rewards you for coming back:
Play on HWS Rust — just log in and play.
Hop into HWS Empyrion and open the Cross Game Rewards popup on the Dashboard.- Click Claim Reward and the loot drops straight into your inventory.
Each step up the chain gives better loot:
- Tier 1 — your first qualifying HWS Rust login. Claim it right away.
- Tier 2 — about 14 days later, after you’ve played on HWS Rust again.
- Tier 3 — about 14 days after that, after another HWS Rust login.
The popup shows your 3-step progress and the exact items waiting in each tier, so you always know what’s coming next.
You must be online in HWS Empyrion to claim. If you open HWS Connect on your phone but are not logged into the game, the claim will not work.
The Chain System
Think of it as a relaxed, season-long climb:
After each claim there’s a 14-day cooldown before the next tier unlocks. Play HWS Rust again in the meantime so your “played” status stays true.
Your progress never resets from a break. Claimed Tier 1 and didn’t log in for weeks? No problem. When you come back, you simply claim Tier 2 next, not Tier 1 again.
Once you hit Tier 3, it’s yours for the rest of the season. Nothing more to claim until the next season.
One Chain Across All Servers
Your tier progress is shared across every HWS server (EU, NA):
- You can claim Tier 1 on one HWS Server and Tier 2 on another. It all counts toward the same chain.
- If you claim all the way to Tier 3 on one server, you cannot claim again on a different server. Three tiers total, no matter where you play.
- Just make sure the region/server selector in HWS Connect matches the HWS Server you’re actually online on, since that’s where the loot gets delivered.
Limitations & Important Notes
Rust is Steam-only, so CGR requires a Steam account. Epic-only accounts can’t use it.
You must have played HWS Rust recently (within the last 14 days) for a claim to count.- Rewards are delivered to the HWS Empyrion server you’re online on. Double-check the region selector in HWS Connect before claiming.
A full server wipe / season reset clears your CGR progress and you start fresh at Tier 1 next season.
