Docking a SV onto an enemy CV so he can't move

The speed difference isn’t massive. You have to close in on a CV while taking fire. If you fly straight at the CV you will get nuked so you need to zig zag which means it takes even longer.

It’s not exactly hard for a CV to kill an SV.

I find it really funny that everyone is suddenly acting like SVs are invincible and can ram CVs with impunity. It’s simply not true, nobody flew SVs in 4.x and 5.x because they are rubbish. HWS added planets that exclude CVs because SVs are such rubish that the only way to make them useful was to forbid CVs and force people to use SVs.

Yet here we are acting like SVs can just catch a CV with impunity.

Really? Have you done it?

Firstly, you have to collide on their screen, not yours. so just flying your SV at them won’t get the result you want. You have to predict their flight and fly ~5 seconds in front of them in the direction they’re going. Anyone with half a brain can avoid getting hit by an SV.

Secondly, ramming an SV against a CV causes massive damage to the SV so it’s not like you have the ability to ram indefinitely.

It’s actually pretty hard to ram.

Yea it’s like a dinghy stopping a huge ocean liner, one of those cargo ships, just by getting close to it, LOL. This is hilarious anyone defending this BS.

LMAO, HAHAHHAHAHAHA!!

Go stop an Ocean Liner by pulling up to it in your dinghy. Let us know how it works out! ROFL

Yeah - but when I’ve walked on a moving ocean liner I didn’t get pulled through the wall and fall into the ocean.

I really like it when people bring up real life equivalents to argue about game mechanics.

What a mature and well thought out counter argument. You continue to impress me with your ability to act like an adult.

I’m impressed with your ability to exploit! We’ve certainly lost what little respect we had for your little rag tag group.

Sure. The admin says it’s not an exploit so it’s obviously an exploit.

That makes sense.

Unparalleled logic.

Frankly I think we should get back on the biggest exploit in the game.

You can eat food without taking off your helmet.

This is obviously an exploit. I mean come on. Eating. with a helmet on?

Always close the door behind you…

PvE = Grief = Guilty

You can’t leave your cockpit while flying

But I always like videos

Trump is president of the US and he believes climate change is a hoax. I guess that makes it so!! I’m impressed by your adult mature logic!

Sweet strawman.

Sweet argumentum ad verecundiam.

You guys keep making this argument and it’s super dumb. It’s a private server run by a 3rd party admin. When he makes the decision to classify something as not an exploit that’s the end of the discussion.

You sound like a sovereign citizen yelling “I don’t have to obey the laws because I don’t recognize the government as a valid authority!”

No. That’s not how it works. When you join a community you agree to abide by the rules laid down by the leaders. If you don’t like it go play somewhere else.

Or learn what appeal to authority means. Either way is fine.

@Rex mate you need really let this be demonstrated to you in game.
your last post implies your have no idea what is actually happening.

Clearly you don’t know what it means. We have taken the issue to the actual authority which is the game devs. In the mean time we are asking Rexxus to prevent this exploit from being used on the server. Saying “the devs did it, therefore they must’ve intended it.” Is a ludicrous argument and could’ve been used for any number of exploits since 2.0. And regardless of what you think community members have the freedom to discuss the issue. You don’t get to dictate that. I suggest if you don’t like what is being discussed you can freely remove yourself from said discussion. Or find another forum. Either way is fine.

I do know what it means.

Appeal to authority fallacy:

(He never said this but it’s an example)

“Stephen Hawking is a renowned astrophysicist and says vaccines cause autism. He’s smart so it must be true.”

That doesn’t work because he’s a physicist, not a doctor and it’s not his field of expertise.

Not a fallacy:

“Stephen Hawking is a renowned astrophysicist and says that black holes lose mass over time.”

This is in his area of expertise and he can prove it. Not an appeal to authority.

That’s the difference. I understand the difference and you don’t.

Furthermore, this is not an Eleon server. This is HWS. Rexx has made the call it’s not an exploit and it’s his server. If you want to play on a server with the rule set made by Eleon you are free to play on the official server. Otherwise, rexx has the final say and, no, that’s not appeal to authority.

Clearly you don’t understand. I’ll let you wallow in your ignorance.

Ok. Sure. You think that Eleon should set the rules of HWS and say that I don’t understand what’s happening.

You’re adorable.

Go play on the official server. That’s what you want anyways.
