Back in 2017 I wrote on the HWS Connect roadmap that v6 would be called “HWS Connect+”. Took a while… but it’s here. 
With the incredible help of <@448486434429468672> , we enter a new era of HWS Connect: HWS Connect Plus is the absolute most modern page you can possible get right now. With a 3D Structure Viewer of your blueprints on the fly (Structure Commander, Garage Ships, Importing your Structure, Convert from STL to Empyrion blueprint) and a 3D Universe, rebuilt from ingame, you can warp routes over HWS Connect+, share and browse your Registry and more!
Overall HWS Connect⁺ is not an update, it is a complete rebuild from scratch. Every page you know from the old Connect is back, most of them got a lot better, and a whole bunch of new stuff is waiting for you. Same account, same servers, same login, everything else is new.
What’s new at a glance
New look, built for everyone Fresh HWS design, bigger text and buttons, every page works on your phone and you can install it as an app on your home screen.
Available in English, Deutsch, **Français **and Русский (request your native language if you want).
OCD
Orbital Cargo Drone (OCD) is much smoother now. With an auto reload in the background. No F5 all the time. NEW Feature: Orbital Factory. Read more about it here
3D Structure Viewer
Tools (all new!)
- Structure Viewer: open your blueprints in 3D, slice through them, fly around them, inspect every block. Files never leave your browser.
- LCD Studio: design LCD screens with layers, templates and pixel art, then copy the exact text into the game.
- Crafting Calculator: plan several builds, farming and OCD-friendly crafts at once.
- Shield Calculator: compare generators, upgrades, crew and recovery times.
- Item Tracer: find any item, which NPC trader sells it, what it went for on the market and where it drops.
Full 3D HWS Universe | Route Planer | Registry
HWS Universe The galaxy as a 3D map you can fly through. Bookmark playfields, inspect star systems, follow Star Fragment deliveries, and keep a registry of what you discovered, shareable with your faction. Especially the Registry is what many of you wished - since the ingame one has no filters etc.
HWS Connect Assistant
AI Assistant A chat bubble on every page and @ai in faction, alliance or server chat in game. Ask it how to upgrade your OCD, where to find something or what a command does. As a Patreon Elite+ you also can get very individual context driven questions answered - like where you are currently in the game or “buy me X from the marketplace”.
What about the old HWS Connect?
The old site is retired. Everything moved over, including your OCD, OAM, Bank, structures, skills and Patreon benefits. Nothing to migrate on your side, just sign in on the new site.
