Well i would say first as an advice to the owners who are in charge of the server get your mind off of this for a few days and get some great sleep then come back to it again and see what pops into your mind as a solution. This works for me when i donât see how there can be a solution to an issue.
So reading from above i see that the owners in HWS specify that making blueprint structureâs class 3 would greatly help the issue. If the owners really think it will then i think they should do it.
This is going to sound kind of strange, so bare with me, but I have a feeling that not all was bad with the mega server that HWS moved to and then regressed from. I have been reading back through discord chat time line both HWS and the private discord that I and my friend use. When the switch to the new server happened my frame rate in homeworld and space in general of my CV significantly improved. Myself and others friends chatted positively about the improvement. However a few hours later and the hell that we are all very aware of took over. In the middle space a client update patch was released.

I have since heard from at least one other Empyrion Server owner (that I trust) that they were also struck down by the DC and crashes in the same time period. He also said that he knows of other Empyrion similar server owners reporting the same.
Now I am not in any way technically qualified on servers, network infrastructure or any other IT field. So I am posting my observed points and throwing out that maybe, just maybe the game patches had a bigger negative impact that coincided with the move timing. Perhaps a more powerful/faster server still has some merit (even if not the hosted one HWS moved too), if not right now, maybe but as fixes to negative issues from recent patches are resolved.
EDIT : forgot to mention, my PC set up is very much a budget gaming type.

no rage quits
no class size reduction
no player slot reduction
universe can even grow bigger as its half on other server
player can be even more overall when its in separate servers
can have great performance
can have even more feature without performance loss
can have more donator planets and overal donators itself
players can grow expotentialy
allways allow add more servers
one server problem dont affect other
well yes it need work to do, in server warp, and feature wise,and its not the quickest solution, but i cant imagine better solution in long term
what to do now. Well i would not go for class reduction, but i would take immediate actions to less starter planets. its not necessary to keep huge amount of starter planets to eat up performance. If a little quicker change in mind than full split of universe in separate server, i would put all donator planets to other server, they can warp to universe server when needed.

About capsize reducing to 3 class CV. I read some ppl that calling 4 class CV PvE-deco. So that deco takes 80 hours to build for me. I know that you âbest pvp guysâ have a big thick armored mess of blocks with no form and shape and it wont cost you lots of time to make an ugly flying cube, but dont think that all people are like you. I like to build beautiful ships that brings some style to universe and i really dont like unshaped flying pvp mess.
As a trader, i want that my ship looks cool and impressive, so i have a suggestion about ship size, that can leave more freedom to peolpe who likes building beautiful ships and ppl who like PVP. It will be great if you make not a class restriction but blocks and turrets count restrictions as it was before 5.0 as i remember. Mb 10-15k blocks and 3-4 max turrets will be nice, and mb 500 devices cap, mb even lights count. That will not affect much players like me, but can reduce armor count and triangles summary count for ppl who like PVP ships, and that will make their PVP fights faster and it reduce the CPU and memory load. And if someone think that players have useless parked ships that eats performance, so make a restriction that 1 player can have 1 CV or faction can have 2 CV max and thats all.
And i think we dont need such big universe if it hits the performance. Mb it should be smaller but filled with interesting things and players flying around without empty playfields for some individuals.
At the end i want to thank our admins team, you guys doing a great job! That is the best server i ever see in such type of games. And If limitations of CV class is inevitablle, so ill understand it, but i ll be glad if this ll be the last available option to make things better.

shut downn the EU PVE server and use ist for some playfield from the PVPVE Server. Size Class 3 is meh.
if you remove diging you have to made âSchottermetroidenâ.

Ha ha. This is ugly flying cube ships? And it is combat PVP ships 4 class. Battle ship and battle carrier. And this ships less lag that other âbeatufullâ ships with toons of deco and lights. Lights, thrusters, plants and deco have a big perfomance hit.
Right, people can still make a laggy class 3 ship and it would be even worse if we were all cramped into a smaller map. Back to the same drawing board.
Yes we can all fly around with scout ships in the future, and be like elite and dangerous, why should i keep playing here then? when there is so many multiplayer freelancer style games out there, i bought empyrion because i could design my own ships on my own terms, we have allready nerfed and scaled down the ships enormous compared for 1,5 years ago when i played it, i had ships with over 3000 devices and 50k blocks, and back then the server was more stable than it ever is now
id say we up the device limit and make smaller galaxy, the galaxy is the problem not how big ships you got.
Devs are dumps. In pre alpha and early alpha version i can use CV with 100 turrets and no lags. But major perfomance hit begin after that stupied 5.1 patch (flare missiles and etc) - perfomance goes DOWN with any new patch. They again make flowers and enimals and fuck the perfomance. If we go that way - we finally will be fly in 1 class CV.
P.S. Major problem of 6.0 it is collision! CV with parked SV make a death lags when moving. SV blow up inside the CV and damage itself and CV. Lag shoots sometimes comes even worth! I have lost the core on SV after one hit. And SV hull in one peace and have 3-4 layer of armor and devices around.

Remove one system of two (orange stars)
Remove BH or connect it to MOBA
CUT Homeworld (3 planets - Homeworld - rare res, gold. Lightworld 2- main res + prometium, Desertworld - 2 main res + pentax)
Remove origin starter!!! Make one PVE starter planet + one more PVP planet with sathium (only two planets for all starters). Wipe PVP planet twice in the week. Make NO base build permition for PVP planet with sathium.
Add restrictions for donator planets - only 50 cores at all on planet. Beause full playfields cause big lags to all server.
So i see you have a nice ship design. Glad that some people still making good ships. Btw my âdecoâ ship dont cause any lag at all, because i have not much lights and thrusters, and dont use much deco things, cause i have an old PC and all that things will burn my PC completly.
But youre right about laggy ships, i can build even t2 lag monster with tons of lights and devices, so ships class downgrade wouldnt do much with lag problem. As i said its mb better to set some restrictions on some specific components if it needs.
Thran you basicly saying that devs introduce ship size levels for no reason and that 20 devices ship will perform same like 2000 (or 20 000 devices in your case) ship and that we should build even bigger ships.

CV combat time to kill. At the moment CVâs just donât die. It always ends in one side warping out because they lost their turrets. It would be nice to see the CV class size reduced so that combat actually results in something. I understand that this would affect PvE players as well so maybe a class size restricted space? Make MOBA system size class 1 or 2 and leave the server wide cap at 4 (or maybe increase it for PvE zones so that PvE players can make gigantic and pretty ships). It would also add a very high risk situation as you canât warp out of MOBA so you canât really disengage a fight.
Yup. At this point CV combat is pointless. Lag shots are essentially fixed. This is great newsâŚexcept now CVs are even harder to kill and with turret targetting the fire power of CVs is rapidly reduced resulting in fights ending in pointless stalemates - even when the odds are overwhelmingly unfavorable.
