As we approach 100 replies in this combo thread, I’ll summarize with:

Epi’s Guide To Preventing PVP Drama Threads (EGTPPDT)

  1. PvP happens.

  2. Warp expecting to get fired at.
    Options:
2a. Have enough armor to make a run for it.
2b. Have enough guns to make them run for it.
    2c. Be super sneaky.
2d. Just YOLO warp and hope no one notices you.
2e. Rage, ocd:put:all, log out, uninstall the game for a month.
2f. Post drama thread on forums. :violin:
2g. Combination of 2d/2e/2f after possibly failing at 2c.

  3. Not all warp in points are the same, see Exhibit A.
3a. There are actually 3 different routes to Trader Space, all of which are roughly 10km away from each other when you enter.
3b. The Homeworld <-> Traderworld is the most commonly traveled route.
3c. If you’re going to use option 2c, don’t use the route from 3b.

Well put Epi.

I will point out that I have frequently traveled to a warp in spot at the exact same time as another pilot. Twice, guns have been offline, no shots were fired. Twice, guns were hot, and we exchanged fire, killing them.

I think that camping the warp is actually a mistake from another view point, however: Anyone can come in and kill you while you’re there looting.

There is always a bigger fish.

Your scale is WAY wrong. at 5km your distance to PvE planet atmosphere would be 2km.

Your image makes it look like the warp point is 30km away - it’s not.

As I said in my initial post we were coming from m32 (we rescue a friend) and in this case came from homewolrd route to passing trade going to catogar; on the way we found nothing, put in back in the jump point that comes from homeworld, there were the same who had attacked a trader minutes ago, as the ship of the same was still there fresh and seconds later we were surrounded by three naves and after the frenetic combat a 4-ship-shaped asteroid appeared, was not a simple matter of having the weapons, or have armored armor, by an oversight our not cater the tank and the only option was to fight (currently independent shielding and difficult to overcome the firepower of 4 x1 yet), went up to the planet to trade and power to fill the tank, however when leaving the ship crashed and did not move more … and was destroyed …

my god you guys seriously know how to read and interpret, this is an example not put actual measurements and an idea to solve the problem of the camp, which the difficulty and entener this, and if applicable the Jasha make the necessary adjustments

It’s really important that you understand what you are asking for. So yes. Specifics are really vital here. So yeah - scale matters.

When you asked for 10km this is what it would have looked like:

At 5km you’re just barley outside the atmosphere. Unless your idea is to MOVE the warp points - your suggestions is NOT viable.

Damn you discovered gunpowder

very careful to stumble because you run the risk of spending the rest of your life just like a cow, and if the grass changes color to purple or lilac, you run the serious risk of starvation

Epithetcal is that a violin or banjo ?
