It is my only fun and pleasure on HWS, to build size 7,49 monster bases of armored concrete deep into the bedrock and chuckle all night exactly knowing the pain i caused to the self proclaimed „PVP server gods“ searching for my core. Very often they are not fast enough to find it till OLP comes in. Then they have to check if i am online later to continue and restart their single player/small faction griefing. Big fun !
It is their „this is my GG and no one shall live here without my permission !“ dictatorship attitude that we experience that often nowadays. I say, stop all these Erdogans, Putins, Trumps and Kim yung uns on HWS !
Of course i would prefer to fight all of you losers open but as Rexxus clearly stated he is supporting the mega factions and wont give others a chance to fight these.
Actually, this server has long (inadvertently) supported smaller factions. Even today, there is more benefit to being 3 or 4 “smaller factions” then joining into one mega faction. This is proven by Base/HV/SV “hard” limits on GG and Homeworld.
I agree, too many people these days saying “PvP on GG isn’t fair”. It’s actually the fairest it’s ever been really. People need to learn that, if you can’t handle the heat, stay out of the fire. Not… well if you can’t handle the heat… turn the fire off lol.
yep your right Ranzeth the only problem with GG is that PvP is so bad because of all the bad mechanisms
that make it imposible to fight, ie Bases, towers, OLP, Taw Zerg. destructable terain and i am sure

i had a read of one of your posts were you said “Gold is the most precious resource” i would put it to you
like this, i find gold is important to a degree. but i find the most precious resource to be Fps.
because without that there is just no point playing at all!.
you say people wont PvP if there is nothing to bring them there, your there, Taw are there,
HPG are there, thats all the reason anyone needs for PvP lol. the people that fight you are us
as much as we love gold and all that jazz. we enjoy good old PvP first gold second.

and it looks like we are going to have a good turn out next wipe.
I dont think that PVP on GG is fair. GG is settled by an alliance with many towers, preventing any fun for new/single players. Why is PVP on GG not „fair“ ? I will explain you.
If i land and spawn a HV it will be attacked by the GG owner alliance with a garage SV. If i spawn an op mega tank and fight this SV, and maybe even nearly beat him he just flies back into the cover of his towers when tides turn against him, then he repairs and attacks again. If on the other hand i spawn a tower, then he will take it out using the plasma sniper exploit OR bring his 20 friends in their SVs.
What else ? I could try to find some fun in my own mega op super garage SV. If i spot an enemy HV or SV they will run into the cover of their towers. And they have many towers with overlapping fire arcs.
So this will not change as long as bases are allowed on GG, without bases this planet would be a lot more balanced for PVP. What i told you is not theory, i roam GG nearly every day
Sorry the game is not giving you everything easy mode handing it to you without any effort. You guys have no idea the effort it takes to hold the planet you come in without putting in any effort and expect to win. Where were you guys at the start ? I spent myself 300k of resources to hold the planet myself… Oh ya garage ships guess what we started with none
Raven thats why we should all live in some form of PvE area that bases wont efect gameplay. Then if
you want to fight we actualy go to a playfeild that supports it. if you chose to no life it thats your
problem but a game that encouges “No lifing it” usally wont last long in my opinon.
Rex has always said that his aspirations were people to live in PvE or Donar, because of the reasons
most of us have stated continuesly!!. you know the problems this game has but you almost
pretend that they dont exist!?. HWS server needs to streamline, rebalance, revisit
struture/playfeild analisis to support FPS. then when the game is Optimised
more game taxing items would be then aplicable.
To me this should be obvious. this if factualy the smart way move forward with the HWS server
identifiying core problems with the game, raising constructive soulutions that still keep a
balace for not only all players, both servers.
Raven its not that we dont like hard work its just we Op4 are not going down the line of
dropping masive lag bomb bases in GG and then exspecting to fight in it.

This is definitely the most fair GG has ever been, when I started ACP we mined meteors on GG when there were no base caps. It was totally “unfair” but tons of fun and we learned alot. (we were a 3 man faction at the the time) GG was literally wall to wall turret bases, from 1 large faction.
Everybody’s definition of fair is going to vary to some large degree. So let’s hash a few things out.
After RexXxus removed offline protection from the NA side, I was the one who asked to reinstate the max base limit of 10. Not for personal gain, but more of a mutual understanding that both sides cannot be removed from their respective planets they hold with just 2 bases per faction. But look at the differences between then and now.
Then it was a constant invasion from TAW/ACP/HPG/DIV on Homeworld. Unless you had multiple factions clustering bases and you had no bunker, you didn’t keep much on planet because of our offline base snipers.
But look at the differences now; how often is Homeworld attacked? Now it’s the TPP/SCO/Op4 alliance bringing the fight to their doorstep. So of course they are going to use every tactic they can think of, regardless how questionable they seem to be.
But now we bicker over and I quote, “stupidest fucking things I have ever witnessed”. Everything from attack towers, garage ships, to using a command in game to kill yourself or destroy what you have left…
It’s getting old. Don’t we have better things to do? Quit whining and play.
Just to be clear, the Homeworld assaults since OLP removal have only been ACP. TAW/HPG are too busy to join our fun. DIV? That entire faction has been inactive for the past month, they have been dead for a while.
I am actually fairly burnt out on planetary combat. I am on a quest to make Black Hole great again.
It’s easy to attack GG, attacking Homeworld is a PITA.
Resource deposits. We either have to come down and drill out all of the resource deposits where we want to setup, or try and find a spot that is large enough for us to setup there.
Mobs. Mobs. Mobs. Mobs. Not the worst thing in the world, but mobs.
Lag. For all the complaining that goes on about GG, Homeworld is worse than GG due to it’s higher level of entities.
I wish I could endlessly attack you, but it’s too much of a pain these days to come down and setup an operation unless I can get 4 or 5 guys with me. And as Booyah pointed out TAW/HPG rarely want to leave GG.
Guilty of being in that faction. (Seriously guilty, some of those guys ruined it for the rest of us).
What I find interesting is that almost no one complained about the setup we had. The majority of the player base at that time just accepted and played around it. Now we can’t even spawn 4 or 5 bases close together without being accused of being unfair.
Bases are part of gameplay. Asking people to not use bases just so you can have less lag is selfish. It’s part of the game, get used to it and stop asking people to stop using bases/stop asking them to go live in PvE lol. Aka: Stop trying to tell people how to play in the sandbox.
You wanna help with lag? Get to the root of the problem - the game itself. It needs optimizations, and until it gets better we will all just have to deal with it. I don’t know where you were in previous patches, but we all dealt with lag that was 10x worse than this.
In short, embrace the lag or learn how to do netcode and volunteer your services to Eleon.
When the sand becomes a solid brick of lag, something needs to change.

Totally agree. Stopped getting gold because the massive megafaction fights on GG (and destructible terrain, Class 10 bases, etc) killed the game for me

‘Megafaction’ fights on GG have always been there; since Arma. So forgive me if i don’t believe that WE’RE part of the problem Especially as performance has been fantastic this time. Eleon for once have made some genuine strides in that department.
Yep, plenty of refined games that do not lag. You are right. That said, people play Empyrion because it is a sandbox game, the more you control how they play in the sandbox the more they will just leave to find another server.
It’s fine and dandy to figure out a way to get the best performance out there, but at a certain point you also have to say “it is what it is” and allow people to enjoy it and have fun. This version of GG is awesome, yes it lags, but it’s not like Arma where the entire playfield would crash for the weekend and no one can play.
