Not yet. We want to see how the EU PvE server performs. If good then we expand a PvE server also in NA.
There used to be only two, yes. It became apparent that there was a set of the community that wanted nothing to do with PvP at all and thatās why a PvE only server was added.
The issue I see is that the rep grind is a bit too difficult to unlock the PvE only planets. This is bad for players because it prevents them from space minecrafting in relative safety which is an option I think should be available to people. Having said that, if a player wants absolutely nothing to do with PvP and they choose to continue playing on the PvPvE shard I have no sympathy for them.
Well, in principle I think that the planets of origin must be pve, they must have restriction, I think that there should be only one base per faction as well as a maximum limit of two Cv of the faction and only one private Cv that in this case would pay taxes by Be there, something else there should not be any resource, zero resource, understand there is your headquarters of your faction, it is where you will have a dedicated stock war, fuel mining supplies spare parts, repair site and nothing else Is a place to make a castle of the cinderella ⦠if you want resources will pick up at another location in pvp, and still think that in a short time, something like 12 hours it should get pvp but only could be attacked by other sources And never by its own origin.
Planet of origin is like being your homeland the country where you were born your people its people and it is strange you attack your people its people, finally, during this period pvp all the factions of the diverse origins of the server mobilize or to attack or to be Defending one of the others, it would be better if it happened on Sundays
why must the majority win over the minority then? when they can split up over 2 servers and have less lag for all and have it the way they want? instead of 2 servers doing the same thing.
OR
If the origin planets become pve then they only have iron
, all the other resources must be traded for explored for
, that id be fine with, since there are already pvp planets with only 2 resources and the origin planets have 5ā¦
OMG NO mor PVE!
At moment 5.0 iss so horrable BORING! I cant find PVP, only two too hard bases⦠in 4.5 PVP was great! but now. The komplete server game ist mass Boring! Everyone farmes on PVE starterplanets and dont come out⦠why more PVE??? so BOOOOORRIIIIIIINNNGGGG
You make some valid points. Perhaps too many extremes are being pursued. The balance that was created in the previous version of the server didnāt happen overnight. It took time and patience to understand that all the changes didnāt favor one type of play style over the other. The options on the poll are not at the sweet spot but hopefully they point to a better balance.
Where are you looking and are you NA or EU? On NA, LBP has been consistently getting fights. Not always to our favor as of late but fights none the less.
With the addition of autominers for the other resources this seems like a legitimate proposal. Having the neighboring planets with deposits for the other regular planets and the more rare resources farther out would make sense.
Itās kind of disturbing to see the 2nd voted option right now is āmake it the same as the Start Planets are nowā. Vets will just do the same thing and cannibalize the Origin planets just like they do with the Starter Planets now and it will still be the same sucking mess for new players /facepalm
Veterans need to take care of 1 CV + BA same as noobs. Why do you think that?
Do you have a better solution?
Later we have more options for that.
IMO if there was some sort of āspecial ruleā hardcoded by the devs that would allow a setting that the server admin could configure for each playfield that would prevent a resource deposit from being cleared out (i.e. deposit canāt go below 1%, once it hits 1%, only AMD can be used), then you wouldnāt even need to mess with the Origin planets. Noobs would be able to get their resources then.
Also a setting that disables HV mining drills/lasers from working in the playfield, I bet vets would not want to spend their time hand mining with a T2 drill tool.
Beginners starting on starter planets donāt really need auto-miners, meteors have plenty of resources and with HVās being able to mine those meteors at super rates, those starters will be perfectly fine, all they need is good information. Auto miners will only promote AFK game play, which isnāt needed on starter planets people should be active. Those Autominers are put to good use on pvp planets thou where theāre isnāt many people living there so its easy to get the message across not to mine the actual deposits.
Iād say PVP for all planets except trader and allow OCD on all starter planets even if PVP.
Iām personally very against adding more pve. If I wanted pve I would start single player. This is from a player who forgets to use ocd and starts fresh every wipe. Its not hard, and once they make the sectors as big as space engineers base hiding will be better.
My biggest issue with 5.0 as it stands is the ability of new players or players without access to a donator world to depend on auto miners as a source of basic ores.
I donāt really expect either of these changes to solve it as people are going to mine the deposits out as thanks to the origin on origin pvp thereās plenty bad blood around for someone to mine all deposits in their origin to 0 just to spite the rest of the origin unless you wipe the planet regularly.
So my suggestion would be a PvE world with massive common ore deposits and a surface wipe daily if possible - like what was done in 4.0 to refill deposits. No CV parking and no BA building.
This would give new players a steady and reliable way of getting basic minerals.
I realize that youāre going to say that I am spoiled and I just want to go back to the easy days of swimming in minerals - thing is you know full well that we are swimming in minerals as is. In 4.0 our only limitation was Sathium - but now with HV mining meteorites itās easier to get than ever - the rest we can get from Detroit.
New players on the other hand are screwed because starter world gets mined out and harvesting iron meteorites for resources is tedious.
Right now the gap in resources between the established factions and those starting out is massive. The HWS autominers are not ideal for fixing this either as the ore production is not in line with ore usage. They need to generate MASSIVE quantities of Sathium and Iron to be useful - but a level 10 Sathium autominer generates 25/h. Itās a joke.
I donāt care at all for people who want a safe place to live - after all you saw your fleet - itās not on our PvE world. Despite this all players in my opinion need a safe and reliable way of getting large quantities of common ores. Until that happens you will have factions with donator planets zipping around in 200k iron deadnaughts that they abandon when fixing them would take longer than reloading ammo into a new one - against factions who barley have enough iron to scrap together for their 30k iron CV.
I like the idea of PvE only for trader, that makes more sense than everyoneās starter being PvE, then people that want Pve living has to play the trader life style and maybe traders cant enter any pvp planets other than homeworld so that people strugling to live on pvp dont get attacked by people living on pve.
This sounds like a lovely way to return back to the days of all pirates going trader for the perks.
There is a new rule now that basically punishes you if you cause damage to the community. And people going mass trader for perks is that. So should not be a problem as long as they get severely punished. But it costs admin time⦠Okay maybe all pvp then
Everyone. EVERYONE would go to the ONE faction that had a PvE origin if it was an exclusive.
Why in the world would I roll pirate? for the āsupplyā package? Big whoopā¦
