Patreon Core issue

What happened?
=> I swear i have the worst luck with these things. I used the structure commander to salvage a ship like i was supposed to but didnt get the patreon core back. i’ve searched ocd (i know it doesnt go there). all my cargo, my personal. i didnt get it back. it didnt pop up the window to retreive it. dont even see it in the logs.

Hey, @Swampy.

Do you mean that you use EGS Recycle? If yes, that’s the problem. You need EGS Recycle level 5+ in order to get devices back (incl. cores), and you only have level 3

If you check your recycle log in the dashboard in HWS Connect, you’ll also see a ton of “Not: … → Item is a Device” for the same reason.

But I just checked your recycle log, and I see this:

Since it says “Core” and not “Patreon Core”, that implies the structure didn’t have a Patreon Core in it in the first place?

odd, it def had the pat core. and okay i guess i thought i still had rec 5 from before but i guess not.

I wouldn’t be against making an exception and restoring the core, but as far as I can tell, it didn’t have one. According to the structure’s logs, you never removed the core in the first place, which would have to be done in order to place a Patreon Core
Also, the recycle log says it’s a normal core, and I just tried to restore the ship in-game in the exact same state as when it was deleted, and still no Patreon Core.

But I just did some investigation, and it looks like you left your HWS Logistics Terminal, Alien Core, Patreon Core, and HWS Medic Bay in the container of the ship before you recycled it. Does that sound about right?

thats really odd. i definitely replaced the core and moved those so i’m not sure what happened there.

If you moved the items out, do you still have them somewhere?

i looked everywhere for them but no. i do have the copies I just went over to EU to get but thats it.

Your EGS Recycle level resets with every full wipe, unless you purchase the Keep EGS Recycle Level supporter package from https://support.hws.global. If you also have the HWS Supporter package, which I assume you do, then it resets to level 3, rather than level 1.
