Railgun Projectiles Shooting Farther Than Base Turrets

Guys cut it…

Thing here is that I did that testing above in SP. That means thats whats officialy avivable. And theres 50m difference between what right bottom part of UI says - 800m and what I meassured - 850m.

Now it depends on if value we see is just representation of text string that means its writen by someone and can be old/mistake, or its taken directly from config file ( that means if ill go to config and change variable range of railguns it will also change in description).

So I guess its time to visit config to refresh some knowledge. Will update.

A little bit of guess from my side but commonly this will be text in description (Range 800) display false would mean dont display this information in description, reason its there would be - this is optional and up to someone who changes/making his config.

Here we are getting to something. Im not native speaker so its a bit hard for me to express and explain. What Eleon did. Properties of weapons as we see them in game depends a lot on ammunition used. This is setting for railgun ammunition. (this way they might be able to set different kinds of ammo in future like AP, HE etc)
RangeSpace: 850 here is actualy variable used by game and sets distance we can fire at. As you can see this differes from what we saw above (Range 800m - text in description)
Btw notice Ballistic: False, never tried this but imagine it does what it seems it should do :slight_smile: performance wise killer but balistic artilery…hmm :slight_smile:

Now comparsion to my experiment:

  1. I saw in description range is 800m
  2. I measurred 850m real range
  3. This corresponds to what we see on pictures above exactly

Conclusion:
Eleon is small and in development at this stage you dont care about these small mistakes as they are no0t breaking anything, thats cleared when theres time for it, and is long way ahead of us. Basicly all is working fine, just description is wrong. Nothing serious, no priority for this.

Now to HWS:
Seems like theres no mistake on Eleon side (damn :slight_smile: ) and they firing is ok. What can happend on HWS is that Rexxx did same mistake and set something different or confused description with real range variable and simply set it badly. Imagine going through 14600 rows of code…that config is mess, its hard to keep track and dont make mistake.

And thats very likely whats happening, human error.

Now stop this fight about who said what, lets leave it. Ppl on NA can read this, theres no AAA exploiting anything.
This all creates a lot of drama, if theres no dramas of this kind Rexxx can focus on fixing it, secondly he also have to prioritize…

Guessing again but from what Rexxx told me he is going to fix ranges soon, I dont know if hes already aware of him making mistake where i think its possible, if im wrong sorry for that Rexxx :slight_smile: but its at least good to clarify things a bit.
