About the player core. You can just replace it with NPC Core, but you should read the guide about it first.
I had, it said all garage ships had an alien core.

I’m confused. Refund of the credits (the ship) or refund of an Alien Core you put inside the ship?

A refund would be a huge exception:
A refund can only be made if you didn’t use the Badger at all yet.
I brought it to GG and noticed it was a hover, then put it at the base. Hasn’t been used other then turning on and seeing it was an HV. Also where is that page with the entire ship info? I get a different page when i click on the HWS GARAGE link. A refund would be nice but if it would cause an upset I perfectly understand.
No, not upset 
But once you start with exceptions you invited Chaos into your house and everyone starts with refunds left and right.
Since you used it, I really can’t refund it anymore, sorry.
