5.0 Experimental is out

You basically say: a newbie gets an unfair advantage over another newbie purely through real money. But that is okay because by paying real money they get closer to the ‘pro’s’? (pay, leave starting area faster just like the pro’s, get advantages faster)

Sounds 110% pay2win to me.

Quite a few of players don’t store components in their OCD including veteran ones btw.

I’m saying that disabling instant bp spawns should be backed up with a good reason and you haven’t given one

Those people are bad.

Here is your reason and you verified this yourself.

No. You provided a reason that do:bp should be removed entirely. Not why it should be disabled for 24 hrs at the start of the server.

Actually… It should be removed entirely…

But at the start of a new patch its’ actually pretty good so to balance it a bit I suggested to disable it for like the first 24h. I was just suggesting it for a bit more fairness. After that it’s hardly any advantage anymore to most and it becomes just a command for the lazy ^^

But there are more pressing problems than that. Maybe for 6.0

Removing it entirely is a separate discussion but it should either be on or off, not qualified by the age of the server.

The only thing it does is help newbies keep up with veterans and I fail to see how that is a bad thing.

Nevermind. This is what I get for suggesting a pay2win balance again… I should have learned no to post such things publicly by now… Literally any pay2win discussion ends up like this and will go on forever and ends up worse…

I also barely have any components in my OCD, I’m also planning on ‘abusing’ the donator command myself. But I’m just too lazy.

I wonder when will we get this on Empyrion

Referencial Inertial, or, gravity on ships while flying…

Very likely never (at least not in multiplayer).

If you ever tested the planet physics you may also notice that most are just placeholder code anyway. CV/SV behavior bugs in various ways on planets, and I can fly perfectly horizontal with just 1 thruster on the ship (should not be possible due to gravity) which basically disables gravity entirely because of the speed limit. Yes the speed limit basically stops gravity (among others).

Did you see the video that i posted? It is not a multiplayer, its a Massively Multiplayer Online. And we will have some day soon the Star Citizen, that have it too. And also have Space engineers, that work +/-, but work, also Multiplayer.
So its not a impossible situation. They just need work on that.

I thinks it doesn’t bring anything to gameplay and I would prefer to be seated in a pvp ship able to do multiple G accelerations.

They use simple gravity. They are not a massive open world voxel mmo or are they? You can’t compare such games. They can just compute against prebuild collision models. But in Empyrion… It’s a whole different story, very complex. Space Engineers has the same problem btw. It’s very hard to fix that problem.

Like you said, SE have the same problem, but at the end of the day, it works.

Not no more, unless this is a Server settings ? in 5.0 adding parts did nothing to make the bp go faster… ?

I have had no issues with this working in my experimental branch.

Or you are not playing SE or you are just talking shit. I’ve been playing it the last week and this was working. It was in a public server with at least 20 players online.

Not playing recently not. So what they actually did it? They fixed that? Players now have collision & phsysics with moving ships and it is actually working? Damn… Okay I take it back then.

Yes, are working nice. Not perfect i admit, but it works. Its enough to have a crew doing things arround a big Capital Ship while you fly arround to somewhere. Of course that only work if you keep the Game Limited Speed. If you use some mod or something to broke it, the mechanic just blow away.

This guy shows it on this video.

But this is working really better right now. Empyrion needs it, to me its another level of imersion to have it.
