Empyrion Feature Requsts

I’d like to add a few things to the wishlist:

a synergy tool setting for those that build on a 2x2 plane, and a RMB to open group for the core, so we can add the core with BASIC alternate shapes (cube, corner, wedge, etc, but no thin blocks)

Option to disable warp ping for deep space, as well as removing the deep space jitters (I know this has been a request for a LONG time)

Engine variants for the CV, that the SV has (you know the ones, the fancy looking ones)

Magnetic locks - Similar to docking pads, but toggled, and allows you to move the target object (parent vehicle mass/thrust vs target object mass/weight). This would allow “tugboat” and “forklift” style vehicles and logistics. Maybe limit this to a SV

Epic weapons/turrets for ships/BA’s - Loot only, they, like the handheld weapons, use the same ammo, but have increased stats. This would encourage combat, and reward those that actually hunt.

How about Warp Drive Cooldown and Warm Up. It could make pvp engagements more interesting and challenging . Let say warp drive can’t be used right away after jump and have cooldown time set to 3 minutes or even need warp up before it can be used after leaving planets or moons gravity field .

Really they could just make it impossible to warp in proximity to other ships. I think that’d be better as it would not cause you to have to waste time when nobody is around to kill you.

Yeah i like the idea, in many other games threes a cool down on warps etc and also critical hits disabling certain things depending on where its hit, but that’s not going to happen right now du to targeting mechanics etc but yeah, i like it, Also…secondary explosions on critical structures in the CV;s/Bases

Soooo you want people to stay LONGER on the warp in zone. So that we can get more of the worst type of combat, the type where one ship is still entering the playfield when it is attacked. There is a reason why warp zones are a no no on hws. Perhaps if you had just a spool up time, something where if you are coming from a cold start, you have to maintain speed for 30 seconds before warping, then can warp again after 5-10 seconds. But if power is off, or more than 5 minutes pass, you have to warm up the jump drive again. That way people cant warp away from danger, but arent piling up on warp zones waiting for (or pretending to wait for) timers to time out.

Right now it’s just too easy to get away from CV combat.

For example, ZC should have killed me when they had me vastly outnumbered and all I had to do was point myship away from them and go AFK to get another beer.

When UMC had us massively outnumbered we just jumped out once we realized that we were probably going to be slaughtered.

There is currently no way for a CV to force a fight.

Keep in mind, the only reason LoT ever lost a ship to us is that your loader was desynced and his pentax vanished. Well that and your warp drives being 1 block away from the exterior…

3 layers actually lol. And the last layer was all 6 way connectors.

Lol you got me. But to be fair, this was before one of my guys took to concept too far and we found the out of index exception. Up til then, it seemed like the perfect block to fit the role.

Use regular slopes, and flip direction every layer. Lowest polygon count for whitespace I can find.

Ya whats what we started doing after we saw the accidental cloaking device. We also found out the short ramp is still 2000 hp’s. So started using a lot of ridges on the outside of the ship for deflection and extra hp.

I had a lot of experiance with this sort of building in Robocraft, until they nerfed it an made all hp shared to each connecting block (1 block has 700, if you deal 7000 dmg, you wipe out the block you hit and 6 other blocks in random direction of that connection). Basically, every block is a fuse, lol

Trifocing I always thought was a cool build concept. :slight_smile: love to see more designs as they get refined :slight_smile:

I kinda miss robo craft. I had a totally bullshit tank and it’s armor was basically a set of spirals. So damage flowed up or down the spirals but never inside and the turrets were mounted on blocks that had no connection to the exterior armor.

Lol, i loved those builds, usually saw them in pit matches. I Built megabots, made em with lattice weave surfaces and spots a med bot could take cover under to heal

Good to see some of these were implemented. Great Ideas!. Would like to put my 2 cents in on a few of them.

Faction/Origin/Allies - Colored names in chat indicating Origin. Different colors for allied/faction/foe… Same with HUD Icons and names. Like this; [NeR] would be origin color and DoctorDiscord would be faction allied or foe color

Alliance should follow the player not the faction settings. A private vessel that is owned by an ally should still be allied.

Alliance, Origin, Trade, and Help chat!

Ability to add and edit chat windows

Ally and faction should show up before targeting range… killed too may private friendlies cause they died before I could get 300m. and turn turrets off.

More options in faction settings of vessels/BA. Public/Private/Faction/Allied. Add same options to blocks with inventories, automatic doors, cockpits and seats.

War! - Option to declare war. Waring faction players con as red. Turrets options to only fire at factions you are at war with. This way you don’t have to ally with everyone to just help or escort 1 faction. The opposing faction must accept the declaration of war or pay x amount of credits to the declaring faction per day. A cost should be applied to declaring war; maybe RP or add faction RP. Something greater than credits divided by number of members; so the smaller the faction you are declaring against the higher the price to declare. and vice versa; a small faction that refuses the declaration will pay less than a larger faction.

HWS Faction bank - Faction taxes are pulled from here first! Faction payroll can be set up from here as well.

Hydrogen/Oxygen - Remove oxygen and hydrogen generators form the game. Have oxygen and hydrogen produced in the constructor with water jugs making 2 parts hydrogen and 1 part oxygen per jug.

Yeap. this NEEDS to happend… we has someoene pop in our base with “Fixed” med bay and then in effort to reach out to us for assistance, blabs our details in open global. THIS Kind of thing would not happen if we could you know… like any other MMO out there,

…/whisper or /tell or /reply
… a chat box with tabs for all the factions global channels…oh… AND a faction chat tab… as it is… now the faction and global show in the same box, and only way to even see the other is the , or . key which there is really no indication which one you are in…
-color coded chat… green for faction, yellow for global or something… least then you can tell even if it in the same box

see my opening comment… FACTION only for med bays and other things… so even if they dont fix the bug, or other inventive ways are discovered to do the same… we dont have to worry about this sort of thing…

Interesting idea… like the clear intention of war declaration…

oh forgot one…

ability to NOT get trapped in someones private base… even if faction… happened yesterday where a private base hangar was stuck in the open position… allowed me to enter and got trapped when it close (yeah funny but annoying and was thinking it was faction’d)

Basically… if its private… lets at least ensure all the doors remain close… ie: auto close ramps/doors after say 10 minutes or some crap to stop this from happening

WTB: an option to turn off lens flare.

ok and another idea related to this…

its stupid that when we capture a ship, keep in mind some fighting nearby might still be going on at the same time we send someone to recore a ship/base, that as soon as we place a core down on it to take it over… our own ships start to light it up…so… new idea…

+100 haha : WHEN placing core and before it activates… have a POP UP menu that will prompt for what you want to give it… so public, private, faction selection…

BAMM problem solved… we dont have to try and click menus and set faction or whatever within 1-3 seconds while being shot at our own ship turrents. Its a pain to turn off manually every time… and if your still fighting its not even an option. Have an alliance with another group… solved, they will not attack it even if all your team has turned off thier guns and 1 of ther guys didnt…
