EGS Insurance

What is EGS Insurance?

EGS Insurance is a powerful feature that allows players to recover destroyed, damaged, or lost structures by paying a fee in credits and HWS DNA. Think of it as your ultimate backup plan when things go wrong — whether due to combat, accidents, or glitches.

:light_bulb: How It Works

  1. Insure your structures: Click the Save Template button in your structures’ Control Panel
  2. Structure destroyed or lost? Use the EGS Insurance claim command.
  3. Enter the structure ID you want to recover. (or use HWS Connect)
  4. The structure is destroyed from the system and re-spawned directly above your character, ready for use again!

:dna: Claim Cost & DNA System

  • Claiming insurance requires Credits and HWS DNA.
  • The fee is 100% of what the ship is worth + its Class Size as HWS DNA + the Insurance costs
  • The cost decreases as your EGS Insurance Level increases.
  • You can earn HWS DNA through special missions, rewards, or trading.

:warning: Important Notes

  • Your levels are seasonal and reset with each full wipe.
  • You must have the structure’s ID to claim insurance.
  • The structure will be removed from the system during the claim (you cannot duplicate it).
  • All contents inside containers etc. are wiped.
  • The new structure is spawned directly above your character if you are in the same playfield and location the structure was destroyed — make sure you have space! Otherwise fly to its last known position.
  • If your structure was cored by another player, you can’t claim your insurance. If you have an arranged PvP fight make sure to use an agreement to not core each others ships. That way both can claim their insurance.

  • Keep track of your important structure IDs in HWS Connect > Structure Commander or via personal notes.
