What happened?
=> Greetings gamers. I am a long time supporter of the server and I should ( I think??) have had alien cores that I no longer have. Additionally, please for the love of all deities reconsider wiping my credits after the RE2 wipe. I had a LOT of stuff that disappeared because of that and I was unable to store it away, and it was lost in the wipe previous to this one.
Please, Iâm on my knees here, reconsider that and help me out a little bit, I have like 300 hours on this one server and Iâd really hate for all my stuff to just be gone forever. I lost all the credits and the DNA having not been able to claim it, and that has devastated me.
Player(s) with issue? (steam name)

How can we help you now?
=> Please help me out by making a small exception, I was not aware that the compensation for the RE2 wipe needed to be claimed in a time sensitive fashion. Iâve been a big supporter for a long time and I hope you can consider that in your decision.
There are a few things that are a little unclear to me here
Which Alien Cores would that be? And how did you lose them? And how many?
I assume youâre referring to the full wipe yesterday, right?
If you want to keep your items through a full wipe, you just have to stash your items into the OCD, and make sure you can carry enough credits over.
Depending on your Elemental Bank level, you can store up to 100 million credits.
On top of that, we have Supporter Packages that allow you to carry more.
Which compensation? Are you referring to yesterdayâs wipe, or the switch from RE1 to RE 2 ~6 mpnths ago?
Once you answered these questions, I can give you a better answer
Hi there, all of this is referring to the RE2 conversion full wipe, with the OCD and wallets being wiped and all compensation coming in the form of credits which would have been limited time only as banks also wipe.
I am basically asking you, because I find that unfortunate and not ideal, give me some of that compensation when I lost hundreds of hours of effort because it came in the form of credits on an EB that has since wiped
So to clarify, this is all about the RE2 OCD wipe and the way the compensation was given out only to have it wipe shortly thereafter again (because EB levels reset) and I had no idea this was a âclaim now or lose it foreverâ type of deal
I believe I had many alien cores too, but Iâm not sure how thatâs supposed to work and those are the least of my worries
Okay, I see.
Youâre referring to the full wipe back in September.
After that wipe, the compensation was given out manually by RexXxuS to anyone elligble for it (you had to be active in the last week before the full wipe). You didnât have to request/claim it
The OCD wipe was necessary, as we switched scenario, and the differences in everything were too big.
It wasnât. All you had to do was to be active during the last week of the season (before 20th September), and then of course make sure during the next season (which ended in December) to store it safely in your EB and such, as we have described in the HWS Guide.
EB Levels reset every season, as they always have for many many years. We have a supporter package you can buy before a full wipe, if you want to keep your level
And I wouldnât say âhave it wiped shoftly afterâ is correct; you had three months, with lots of warnings about the full wipe coming up.
Alien Cores werenât wiped from your OCD, so if you had any before the full OCD wipe, you will still have them now.
And all of this happened 3 full wipes ago, or 6 months. Unfortunately thereâs nothing we can do to help you here. Our logs and backups are long gone from that time.
Like, I understand, but youâd think hundreds of hours of support over years (and probably $100+ would get something). Kinda whack that the server is advertised and fed on a monetization system of it being persistent, and if you missed that one window itâs just all gone, everything you ever contributed is irrelevant and poof. I donât follow the newsletter and stay tuned for all breaking developments, but alright. Alright.
That compensation could have been handled in⌠(I was typing this but then started to realize that I was wasting my time, and thatâs my bad, I understand that this will get me nowhere - but I feel betrayed, so Iâll say that)
I donât like that, but I donât really expect much these days either, so I guess itâs alright - just feels not great to be responded to with links to monetized features when I am clearly a support WITH monetized features.
I completely understand your frustration, but the full wipe was not only necessary, it was a choice the community was heavily involved in. It was not a choice we made easily either.
The RE developers decided to stop supporting RE1 and instead focus on RE2, and a majority in the HWS community asked us to switch as well.
We made lots of announcements, and we had a poll about how the community would have liked to transfer from RE1 to RE2, especially in terms of OCD. A lot of people voted for a full OCD Wipe.
We have had lots and lots of announcements about the wipe, including this one, which described everything in detail: Discord
Besides that, itâs also been mentioned many times ingame, in other parts of the Discord server, and here in the forum.
The full OCD Wipe was by no means a fast or easy decision, and therefore the community was also brought in on it.
Thatâs not something I would recommend, but itâs your choice. But if you donât keep up, you canât expect to have an influence on how HWS is run
Rex reads basically all feedback that the community gives and considers it, and with enough support from the community, a lot of things can get changed eventually.
You have unfortunately misunderstood the purpose of HWS if you see it this way Every donation is voluntary, and everything can be achieved from playing ingame.
RexXxuS covered it in detail here: HWS Support Introduction
Also why are you on my support ticket flaming me and saying I wished âharmâ on someoneâŚ? I didnât wish harm on anyone, I made a joke and gave server feedback because I feel like this was handled terribly
This whole response is weirdly smug and marketed and Iâm not allowed to make a comment or joke back? Because thatâs what it is, a joke. Take your Prozac and drink a glass of water
Donât charge money for services and put plastered advertisements spamming ingame chat and consuming 30% of my POV and then talk about âvolunteeringâ. I understand that this server needs the money to survive, I am a long time Patron, but your righteous Crusade to defend that necessity is actually unhinged
You made the informed decision to come into this thread to attack me because I didnât like the response I got, making imaginary and hypothetical threats for what?
Giving this server hundreds of dollars over the course of several years and you call it entitlement? I even said I understood the response and let it go, despite how smug and ânuh uhâ it came across, I just let it go, and then you showed up
⌠For what?
IâM entitled? Imagine another customer showing up when youâre yapping at a mechanic you feel is ripping you off and the other customer says âhey man if it were up to me Iâd never fix your car ever again!â
Itâs not your business, and THAT is the very same entitlement you pretending to be outraged over
⌠I never expected special treatment? I asked for them to look into my account history and possibly backdate assets that I once had.
He said no, I said that he sucks and the situation sucks (in an obviously fanciful manner), and then I clarified that I understood - Iâm just disappointed⌠And then I thanked him for helping me after providing said feedback.
Youâre punching water right now for reasons beyond me, starting (trying?) a fight where there was no need for one
I mean just to clarify, no I do not wish harm on anyone. No I do not expect special treatment, I expected my time and contributions to be respected which they were not. After receiving a negative response, I said âthatâs sucks, but alrightâ and logged off with absolutely zero intent to continue further with it
It seems like that would infer that this topic was resolved and might not have needed you coming in here berating me and telling me that if you were in charge Iâd be really sorry⌠Or something?
And then you ended that with an insult that is too esoteric for me to even understand, and although I sounds like an insult, I canât take it as one. Because I donât get it.
Anyways, good work, youâve done some excellent work on this support forum and I think we should be done now. Am I entitled enough to declare if and when a thread I started to ask for a review is over and done with?
My sincerest apologies for not being fully awake and reading the entire room. My entire mistake has been removed but unfortunately/fortunately will not be forgotten
